Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Exemption Shows

There is an exemption show at our local village fun day in a couple of weeks and was thinking about taking Bailey (7mths) BUT we don't go to ring craft as I don't want to show him but i thought it might be quite good fun and a good experience for him.

So the question is will it be ok and what would I have to do?? I want to put him the puppy class and a couple of the fun classes but unfortunatley the puppy class is first so I would be able to watch any others first :(

Any help greatfully recieved!

I got hooked on showing by attending exemption shows. My first dog wasnt show trained so dont worry. Just go and enjoy yourself. As long as you dog is social and can stand (sort of) still then go have some fun.

Ok this is going to sound silly but how does a lab need to stand?

So Sorry - couldn't resist - VBG (BTW - it's not silly - unless someone shows you how do you know?)

That made me smile :)

Don't know why i am worried because I am sure he won't be able to keep all four feet on the ground anyway everything is just tooooo exciting! :D

I would take him to Ring Craft but our local classes start at 6.30 and I have to pick hubby up from work so can't go! :(
