Hi Dawn,

Perhaps it's an allergic reaction to something Brock's come into contact with? I have very sensitive skin to many usual high street brand products and have to take extra high doses of Piriton if affected by anything new (usually within a few hours  )

Might be worth mentioning to your vet as she didn't offer any other suggestions and meantime try and think if he's been exposed to anything unusual.

HTH, good luck Teri :)

hi teri yes he is alergic to fish so i have piriton ive given him that that made the lumps go away but scabs have come in its place ,more scabs are coming but no lumps do you think they will go away themselves ,as for being exposed to anything well i was at a show so it could have been anything thanks and

Hi again Dawn,

If it's the type of allergic reaction I'm picturing, do the lumps sort of "blister" and then weep?  If so this would explain why the skin breaks and if you have given him Piriton and no further ones have formed within say 12 hours then it sounds promising that it should begin to clear up.  However whether for myself or the dogs, when using Piriton I always have taken it / given it an extra 24-48 hours after symptoms show signs of diminishing depending on the severity of reaction (but obviously your vet is best to advise on that ;) ).

Hopefully Brock is on the mend - external signs of allergic reactions often look worse as they begin to tail off than when they originally flare up.

Best wishes, Teri :)

Hi Dawn yes i'm back on now few.  Hi Teri i've noticed my bully Nina has started to come up in lumps, they seem to come up and go back down again.  There isn't loads of them but it does concern me

Warm regards Susan

Hi Susan :)

From failing memory (mine) I'm sure this subject has been raised before on here with BMs and Dobes (?).  It could be mainly a breed specific thing - I can't honestly advise on it.  Dawn's boy sounded like something I've experienced before but as to lumps that just come and go I'm lost!

Hope Nina's being a good girl otherwise!
Regards, Teri
