I have heard that Louis Walsh has quit The X Factor. Not surprised after all the taunting in the last week. If it's true I wonder who will be placing him. Hope it's someone as big and brash as Simon......... Pete Waterman perhaps!!!!

Has he really? I suppose he'd had enough especially after last week, though I doubt if he will be missed much but what about the young 'stars' he's looking after? Or is there only Shayne left?

apparently he's back... big publicity stunt just as Simon Cowell is being sued for allegedly stealing the format I reckon...

I did feel a bit sorry for him with the water throwing incident. Sharon's face when you watch the re-plays is horrible, all scrunched up - I don't like her anymore, haven't done since she had a go at Steve last year really. Although I thought he was pretty pants, I don't think he deserved her comments on live TV - she's a bit of a bi**h I think.
It's a shame that a good talent show has turned into something that focuses more on the judges than the real stars of the show - the singers :(

She just can't stand losing can she! She went on and on about Maria going last week - all guilt because she made her sing a totally inappropriate song IMO. How could she possibly do a Stones record justice!
Louis is back.....but he has said that if Simon and Sharon start on Saturday night, he's walking off

What has been happening to Louis is bullying pure and simple, I'm glad he's standing up for himself. I'm not a great Louis fan really, but nobody deserves to be treated like that, It goes on in our schools and we all think it's dreadful, so why should it be acceptable on TV, it's not comedy, it's cringeworthy.

I feel that Louis could take the taunting from Sharon and Simon, let's face it he does the same back to Simon!! I think that Louis has been getting a very hard time from the public as a reaction from him not choosing Maria, people have been having a go in the street at him, this is what I feel he is not able to cope with. Sharon was out of order to continue with it the following week, but she is one of those people who wears her heart on her sleeve.
The programme would not be the same if they were all nicey nice to each other, it is what makes it good to watch. Louis knows in his heart he did the wrong thing, which is why it is grating so much, and he is feeling the others comments so badly............... I would love to see Pete Waterman take his place anyway, I think Louis is choosing terrible songs and does not do his artists any justice, Shane should undoubtedly be the shows winner, but with Louis behind him, he may very well loose out. He seems off whack with everyone elses perceptions of things. It beggars belief that someone so sensitive could ever have made it so big in the music business.

I lik Louis - but he is losing his touch - but so did Pete Waterman (remember One True Voice?). Personally I think the winner will fall flat anyway - the judges are still judging on the "single buying public" - whereas the internet downloaders are the way forward and if you look at the ITunes top ten its totally different from any of those XFactor finalists!

Pete Waterman gave up after Michelle's win, he thought the show a mockery and quite rightly knew Michelle could never make it in the Pop world, he is a good judge of an artist. But I think that is why he would do so well on X Factor, as up to the final the judges get to choose who stays and who goes, instead of playing on the publics heartstrings, the judges can get rid of all the none starters (this time it got screwed up) but I think Pete Waterman would shine in this show. :-)

I thought he quit after One True Voice didn't make it...

but I could be wrong! :)

If you read Sharon's book she explains the incident with Steve and I don't blame her after having read it. Most of what went on from Steve was off screen.

Ooh, I've not read the book. Wasn't interested enough in her to buy it lol!
i like sharon ,ive asked for her book for christmas, and i think loui is nice aswell ,he knows he made the wrong choice sending maria home, but he is paying for it now, with the public booing him,i hope he does come back on saturday it wouldnt be the same without him .

Publicity stunt as, apparently, the ratings were flagging somewhat with the show being up against Strictly Come Dancing.
I thought Louis was out of order making the comments he did about Ozzy's drug problems which prompted Sharon to chuck the water over him so, IMO, he deserves all he gets. It was very petty of him and there was no need for it.
I think the show is suffering because of all the bickering between judges. The focus seems to have moved more towards that than the actaul acts. I can't see any of them having much of a career once the show ends. I agree with Chloe, too. They may be talented but they don't offer what the downloaders want and that is where the future of music sales is at.

They're all as bad as eachother really.
I was rather hoping Louis would tip his water over Sharon and then we'd see if she still thought it was a funny thing to do

I think there's some good talent in the show this year. I would definitely buy albums by Maria, Shayne and Brenda. I thought Maria was great and was disappointed that Louis voted for her over the Conway Sisters. However, the real talent is Simon Cowell. I have to say that I agree with a lot of what he says (apart from about Chico!). If someone's rubbish, they're rubbish. No point giving them false hope that they're going to be the next Robbie Williams or Madonna.

I meant the judges are as bad as eachother! :D
I think there is some talent in the show too - although none of them my cup of tea. :)

Nor mine.
I have to admit to liking Will Young though :)
i think its all to do with the judges, and as we never get to see the results how do we know that the bottom two are really the bottom two?
they say all the way through from the first audtion that once they get through to the live shows its the publics decision, it isnt though, as the judges egos get in the way
just my opinion though, sorry if ive upset anyone

and the lovely W.Young gets his kit off in the film Mrs Henderson presents!!!!
:D :D :D :D :D
cant wait!
I must say that Mr Young is looking better than ever at the moment *licks lips and sighs at what will never be* ;-)

oh well.... guess we'll hafta settle for a naked Bob Hoskins then Char!!!???
:o :o Ha,hahahahahahaha *gulp*!!!
I think that Louis Walsh is a right 'old woman'...........reminds of one of those middle-aged men who still live at home with their mother :)
