I was thinking today don't they either drive you mad with love for them when they do something you like and then it can be frustration when the monsters do something that drives you up will wall ! :D
My two's best and worst points are :
1. Moose's best point (which she has many ;) ) is she is such a wonderful loyal girl whose favourite place is curled up at either one of our feet :) Her most frustrating thing (which I am working hard on :) ) is she loves people so much. She just gets so excited and jumps up. She doesn't do it at home as we all know to turn on her or tell her no. She is alright if people ignore her (normally experienced dogs owners).
Dudley's best point is her wonderful expression when she looks at you :) It is true love :D
Her worse point is she still chews my shoes :D :D
So what are your's best and worse points :) Or have you got the 'perfect dog'
Lucy
xx
Everything so far has been perfect, or at least working towards perfection!!! Ask me in a few more months when I have gotten over the fact that we actually have our own little Aussie (or not so little anymore) and then I might start to see some 'bad' points!!!
You would have to be either very honest or very hard hearted to think a 14 weeks old pup can have bad points!!!
Izzy's good points are that she is loyal, loving soo affectionate and loves to be with the family no matter what you are doing, she loves to sit on you which can be extremely painful but still adorable even if she is 10 stone.:) Izzy just genuinly loves people particularly children.:)
Bad point - she has a habit off nudging you under the arm when you are innocently watching tele while having a drink, needless to say I have been covered in a variety of beverages.
Cleetus - same as Izzy with his love for people, he also has a habit of bringing you shoes when you first come in just like another dog we had.
Bad points - he is soooo greedy it can be a little annoying and we can never let him off of his lead to see how fast he can run and watch him have fun off the lead (ex racer) that makes us a little sad.
Kobi - only 17 weeks old so no firm habits as of yet.

Oh Wow Lucy, what a thread, do I really want to go there ;)
Yes I have the perfect dog, I will list her at the end.
Penny, Best point, so affectionate and doe eyed, adores me
Worst point, cant bark, but joins in the chorus with one of the earpiercing screeches, Not even a decent howl, A bark gone wrong
Tia, Best point, loyal and willing to go anywhere with me
worst point, she is on springs and bounces everywhere
Ellie, Best point, sweet and soo cuddly, and just snuggles tightly
Worst point, its constant :D
Summer Best point, cant think of one ;) (still in severe hormonally induced teenage mode)
Worst, deaf as a doorpost (selective of course) has never heard of obedience, totally aloof
Blue Best point, highly obedient, and would do anything for me ......except
Worst point, loves ripping wallpaper off the wall
Emma My sweetheart, has not one single bad point, obedient, so willing to please, sticks to me like glue, even her recall is 100% as I cant get far enough away from her to have to shout her back.
But her best point, she struts by my side, proud of being my companion.
If she did have a worst point, it would be sticking too close to me, that she trips me up.

My dogs are both perfect in every way :D - Well, almost :D They are both very well behaved in the house and very obedient, very affectionate, very good guard dogs (too good :D ). Never do any damage, steal etc etc. However, neither of them are good with strangers in the house, so having visitors is a bit stressful (although once they know someone well they are fine). We 'manage' this without problems now, but wish that they were like labs sometimes and want to be friends with everyone :)
Daisy
Well Im going to be hard hearted and point out a bad point about my Lilly (15 weeks) hee hee
Arthur Good - He loves me and is quite obedient
Bad - He loves me too much and is aggresive to people who come near me.
Lilly Good - Shes a big soppy hunk of love whos doesnt mouth or do anything wrong EXCEPT..........
Bad - Licks way toooooo much, my ears have never been so clean. :-D

It seems so cruel to reveal Nipper's bad point since he's only 16 weeks old but his habit of finishing his dinner, rushing over to his bed and giving it a thoroughly good rogering which then caused his dinner to reappear was a habit I could do without. So I now discreetly move the bed while he's eating. :)

Mia - good points...ermmmmmm....trying to think of one! She has this habit of just standing looking at me slightly submissively, I give her her kiss and she goes off wagging her tail all happy!
Bad point - nearing the end of the walk, you'll walk past her to get to the car, turnaround and she'll be sitting about 100 yards away from you and no matter how much you shout on her she won't come, you have to walk back and tell her to move to her face!
Curtis - Good point - he thinks his 'mum' (Me) is absolutely the best thing since sliced bread.
Bad point - he tends to be quite vocal whilst waiting to go on a walk and 'divebombs' Mia & Miranda which I'm sure accounts for their chiro bills!
Miranda - good point - sometimes she walks between Mia & Curtis (Her kids) and she looks side to side at them and wags her tail as if she's as pleased as punch with them!
Bad point - on a similar note, if we see a dog, sometimes she'll bark at it which then sets those 2 off as well and then they get psyched up.

Oh mine would love you to death once you are sitting down with some treats - Bramble has often ended up sitting on a friend's lap :D Mine never hump :D They do French kiss tho', particularly Tara who is training to be a hairdresser and loves also hair washing - YUCK :( fortunately she saves this privilege for the OH :D :D
Daisy

WOT bad points???? LOL It would take to long to go through! So many doggies...so little time LOL :D
my dogs are ................lol :d
megs good points, shes loyal shes so loving & affectionite never barks or moults :)
bad points, she can be agressive to big bouncy dogs & humps rubys head from time to time lol.
ruby's good points, shes a 15week old pup and absolutly gorgeous and full of kisses.
bad points, chews shoes & anything paper but not to bad wen its bills she chews but not something youve be waiting for for ages lol. :)
but i wouldnt swap ether of them for the world.there my iccle babies :)
My flojo's good points are that she is ultra clever and never takes long to learn something- dont know whether thats good or bad! She's the perfect size to cuddle up on sofa with me, partner and the 2 cats!
Not really got any bad points- of course! apart from that we have a rabbit living in our garden, and she likes the little 'presents' it leaves behind- uuggh, yummy she says....
She also looks like a fox, so many people think im a mad lady that has a pet fox that i take for walks....
interesting one
Grange - she has loads of good points as she is a lovely dog.
bad points , now she is 14 and a bit of a dither she pretends to be very deaf until
a biscuit falls to the floor then she is as sharp as a two year old.
Kelsey - good points, lovable old rougue.
bad - very very very very greedy and woill steal anything from anyone!
Hogan - good, he is a star with the kids and does endless tasks to please.
bad- bit of a bully to our other dog always playing the hard man [which he is so not]
Kai - good, very happy outgoing boy with a lot of love and personality plus.
bad- very vocal and hyper to the extreme especially at walk time.
Buzz - good, he is so kind for a wee dog, no nasty temper and excellent with the kids.
bad, has a horrible habit of trying to beat us to the cat litter tray and loves lick
faces [one usually follows the other - yuck]
Alba - good . she is sweet and loving a fun dog
bad, she has eaten four sofas, 6 chairs, 5 bits of best vet bed, and she is only
7 months!!!!!!!

I do, I do, I have the perfect dog. We also have three cats and we often say that Jet is the only one who is always good. She is polite, always letting me go out the door first, even from puppyhood. Never pulled on the leash and practically trained herself to heel. Brings us the morning newspaper and fetches up my slippers when we get back from a walk or ski without being asked. No matter which way I choose at a fork in the trail she always acts as if that is just the way she wanted to go too. A better friend could not be found.

My Cavalier puppy's close to perfect - loves me to bits, like someone else said has a 100% recall because she is always by my side anyway. Only slight problem is she loves me so much that she whimpers if I am not cuddling her - and as she's now in season and I also have 2 males who don't get on with each other, I can't be cuddling all of them all the time!!
My Cavalier boy's pretty wonderful too - so loving and gentle and affectionate, never snatches food, hardly ever picks up rubbish in the park. Has also won me a huge number of rosettes and cups. Only bad point would be that like my girl, he whimpers if shut away from me! Oh yes, and he doesn't come back if my OH calls him!
My American cocker's also lovely - best point would be how cute he is and how friendly to all people. Bad points would be his scavenging habits!!
Excellent thread! :-)

Shay (Chow X Rottie)
Good points: Too many to mention. He would be utterly perfect were it not for his........
Bad points: selective deafness!!!
Lola (Newfie)
Good points: Lovely natured, friendly and affectionate.
Bad points: Just entered the 'teenange zone'

so, as you can imagine, bad points are numerous at the minute  :D :D
Chloe-HV
Good points: the sweetest little vizsla I've ever met, adores human company, especially if that involves sitting on the settee!
Bad points:Can be a grumpy madam at times, just about tolerates other dogs(just getting round the fact Idõ is here to stay!), some days she decides not to eat anything but we wouldn't change her for the world!
Kayla-HV
Good points:Very affectionate, biddable(sometimes, see below!), intelligent, a real showgirl, loves to be in the ring, brill recall on walks
Bad points:can be very stubborn at times, scavenges on walks, a muzzle is being considered :D Recall in the garden is rubbish..goes back to the stubborn thing I suppose!
Idõ-HWV
Good points: so many I couldn't possibly list them all! He has the best temperament of any dog, he loves all people, all dogs, has not a bad bone in his body, has been easy to train, any problems we've hit have been mostly down to me, he can be very calm and relaxed when he has to be but up for it too, loves his gundog training, has done me and his breeders so proud in the ring in only 6 months, just an allround fab dog :)
Bad points:He does have a few actually but thats only coz he's a teenager at the mo! Likes to wind Kayla up and annoy Chloe, has a pretty much constantly wet, dribbly beard which he likes to stick in your unsuspecting face :D And at the moment is quite bored as he has KC so we're stuck in for at least 3 weeks :( The joys of going to shows!
Brill thread, great reading about everyones dogs :D

My boys (Shar Pei) as follows:
Bailey - best points - loyal, protective, can take him anywhere with me and he always knows how to behave - just my adorable big boy.
Bad points - he hates other male dogs and can be aggressive with them if he doesn't know them.
Dutch - so much fun, very clean, affectionate and will cuddle you all night.
bad points - can be soooo lively and he is proving a nightmare to lead train as he's just sooooooo excited! Bless his little cotton socks.
LOL Lucy
Hook - Good points: never happier than when he is with us, however still jumps up if he is really pleased to see you, otherwise he just takes your knee caps off. Back end is always so happy, although he has been know to clear tables with it. Hasnt knocked anyone off of their feet for ages.
Bad points: can be a grumpy old man and often mutters under his breath or barks at other dogs he meets on the lead.
Truffle - Good points: Loves to cuddle up with us, always pleased to be near us.
Bad points: loves to jump just when people least expect it. Still eats the occaisional insole when sulking after being told off. It has to be said that she works only on her terms, she is quite a good gundog when she wants to be, but if she dosent want to you would think I had beaten her for holding something in her mouth  Edited to add she goads poor old Hook something rotten.
Sam - bad points - his farting is getting much worse and he really really stinks
good points - he is so loving and loves having a cuddle
Breeze - bad - eats anything in sight, took 2 hours to install a fire the other day as she shredded the instruction manual
good - she has become a lot more affectionate to me, guess that is a sign of her growing up.
Purdy - loving, kind and well behaved worse point she taps her feet and winges when the others are on her spot on the sofa. As chief dog could perhaps do with a assertiveness training course.
Tigger excellent showdog and lovely to live with bad points she has psychopathic trends.
Tom - loving and very easy to live with bad point hates male dogs.
Molly - kind and loving a bit of a bimbo bad point she drops her tail and wont stop yapping.
Buddy - gorgoeus all round and dont dislike anything about him
Beagle - good points I had to think hard on this one. She looks like a angel and has the most lovely head and is very affectionate to us. Bad points she winds all the other dogs up, she is overprotective, has a tendancy to go deaf on recall, eats evrything in the house, never shuts up yapping and still wees everywhere unless watched like a hawk. In fact having read this I am sure most people would have killed her by now. ;)
Thai - She is so loving, adores children and is pretty obedient :)
She does not get on with other dogs at first meet - she sounds awful but were working on it :(
Bali - Gives the best kisses ever, looks at me like he is SO in love with me and wins pretty rosettes :D
He can be very boisterous, esp to Thai on walks and is a real fidget bum - oh and he walks and poo's, I have trails of poo....takes ages to pick up LOL ;)
walks and poo's at the same time, this must be a Rottie thing as breeze does the same... :)
Apparently this is 'another' bad habbit he has picked up from his Dad as Thai does nice neat poo's ha ha LOL :D

Remy's best point would be his snuggliness - he is very much a typical dobe, he spends every evening with his head no my lap while I watch telly. When he's not doing that he's sat next to me with a foot on my arm getting me to scritch his chest :D
His bad point would be rabbits - he picks up almost every dead rabbits he finds to eat, but because I don't stop walking he ends up running around with them - and damned if I can get near him! I have to try and trick him into leavnig it with food, sometimes another dead rabbit, or this morning I rugby-tackled him as he was about to run past. And the fresher the rabbit, the harder it is - hence the tackle!
Opi's best point I think is her responsiveness - though it does falter at times. She listens more, and if I tell her "no" when she's about to dive into some shrubbery she'll stop and walk away.
Her down side is her teeth I think - she stills bites me, even at 2 years old, and she's very toothy when she's playing with Remy; poor lad's covered in little nicks and scrapes from their playfights, and she does love to bite his bum when they're playing chase!

My dogs
are perfect in every way..............it's just a shame that it's only me who thinks like that :D
I love reading everybodys tales (pardon the pun) It really characterises the dogs and lets us here in cyberspace get to know them a little bit.......
Murfees good points in no particular order are, he has a wicked sense of humour and never ceases to make me laugh, even on a bad day. He would devotedly follow me to the end of the earth. He understands
everything I say, either that or he pretends that he does, just to humour me

He has eyes for nobody or nothing else but me whether we're out trudging across the fields or snuggled up by the fire.
His bad points are, he could fart for the whole UK  and why does he always choose to do it when he's laying as close as he can get to me?? He
noisily chooses to clean his "manbits" whenever I'm on the phone or concentrating on something. Sounds like somebody slurping a melted ice cream! He's just too independent and "manly" at times and wont tolerate all of that kissing and cuddling that only girlies like to give. Last but not least, he's not human <childishly stamps feet> if he was, I'd be married to him and we'd grow old together forever.
Callia   What can I say? Good points, very quick at learning (not necessarily a good point)
extremely gorgeous to look at, good sense of humour, especially when she's got you out in -8 conditions at 2.00am on the premise that she "really needs to go mum" and then doesn't. Very efficient at being "head of security" :P Excellent at chewing OH's novelty socks, how does she differentiate? No other sock is ever touched.
Bad points, she's a hormonal, adolescent Waynetta Slob. Her manners leave a lot to be desired. She's a conniving hooligan who is always trying to make Murf look stupid  She steals food out of the bin given half the chance when my eye's off the ball, leaves a crumb of it on the floor, silly Murf blatantly eats it and then gets all the blame, while she sits there looking smug, as if butter wouldn't melt. If not watched, she's partial to the odd pheasant. (only gets them
given to her these days, much to her dissappointment)
