- By SharonM Date 22.11.05 18:18 UTC
Does he have an affix?  might be easier that way
- By Acorah [gb] Date 22.11.05 18:19 UTC

Can the breed clubs help? They're listed at the bottom of the Breed Standard.

Data protection, same answer as I got from KC

Surely they can tell you if they have a member by that name, and will forward a letter from you to him? All my club's members' names, addresses and phone numbers are published in the handbook - ie, public domain.

Gonna visit the studs family tomorrow if no luck there then will try electoral register

Breed club members handbooks may carry a rider to say that the publication or the giving of the information contained within to other than members is prohibited.

If this is so the information within is not strictly speaking IN the public domain because it is provided by and for club members use only.

Some breed clubs may not have that issue and send out the info willy nilly.

Acorah, try www.192.com this will give you everything you need if you can 'guess' or know an area? You may get details free, but if ex-directory won't show. Further details are available for a fee...good luck! :D Dawn

The breed clubs probably wouldn't be any help then.

Maybe try posting a notice on Cockers Online?- I've never heard of him but will ask my working cocker contacts for you :)

I'm still trying to find the new owners of one of my pups that was sold on without me knowing anything about it, first owners aren't being very helpful with info, so I've written an open letter to the KC and they have forwarded it on to the now owners, I have asked them to contact me and put a stamped address envelope in, so I just have to wait and hope they get in touch.

Ring the KC and ask if they will do the same for you!

What type of pup is it that was sold on to new owners? We recently got a Golden Retriever pup from the Dogs Trust as the owners were unable to cope with it! We know he has a pedigree but the papers were not taken by the Trust as they did not want anyone choosing him just because he has a pedigree. We believe he was born round about the end of August, possibly the 29th, and was sold to people in Kent. We would love to know more about his parentage, health etc and would welcome any help tracing the breeder. He is a family pet and will be neutered in April in line with the Dogs Trust policy so our interest in his parentage is purely for information only.
He probably isn't the puppy you are looking for but I thought I would enquire
Good luck with searching
Regards
Liz
