Hi
a follow on from my other post really. I am going to go to LKA and watch the show. Just so i can get an idea of what goes on in my breed. Who will be showing their dobes at LKA in Dec? just so I can come and see what goes on and who you are!
Thanks
Em
Sorry, I'm not a Dobe person but will be there on the Saturday and I'm really looking to seeing Lastar's children :d

Anyone had their passes yet?

Nope, not yet. We will be there on the Friday :)
Might see you again then Archer. I think that there's quite a high entry for import register and by the looks of things quite a few Spanish so it will be great to see so many out.
I wouldn't be surprised if our breed don'thave more than many breeds with their own classes!

Hi Diane
would be nice to meet you again! Seems like the 'spanish' are getting quite a following!
Not a bad entry for us....59...about average at the min

Hi Em
I will be there, my breeder is showing my boy. I would suggest buying a catolgue that way when you are watching if you see a dog/bitch you like or like the way someone handles there dog you have the information to find out who they are etc.
I will be there from 8 o'clock just in case judging starts at 9.
I will pm you his name nearer time so you know who to look for.
Ella.x.

Sandra if you are at LKA you can finally get to meet Fizz if you wish :D

I'm there on Friday and my passes have come this morning :D

I will look forward to it :D :D
I have a nearly bald Buffy :(
Had my paperwork arrive this morning. No actual passes in it though. How many does one pass admit not been to LKA before?
Note to anyone who has not been to the NEC before, the refreshments are VERY VERY VERY expensive!!!! My advice take your own.

Are you familiar with the show passes. Your paperwork might be your passes, they come on one sheet with perforations on it.
Pass admits one person, if your dog is in joint names you should have received an extra pass.

I'll be stewarding in the flatcoat ring this year if anyone feels like calling by.

i say hello as i be in the ring with teyha,if she grows back her coat within 3 weeks

Your pass for your dog is on the blue paperwork. it will have your dogs name on it, class number etc.
>Your pass for your dog is on the blue paperwork
Mine's white. :) Presumably different days. I take it the original quetsion was why there are no passes for the owner/handlers -at most shows it will say "admit one dog and handler" this time there is nothing aout people, do I take it there is no fee to get in to LKA? (Not been before either as we don't have classes, but entered AVNSC this time just to get pup some extra experience.)
Hi.
Got my passes today, we have an entry of 299 dogs !!!!!

Hi I got my paper work also but as my dog is in joint names with my daughter I also got a small white ticket that reads additional exhibitors pass. Presumably so that we can both get in without further charge.HTH

Same as you satincollie our dog is in joint names with my husband  (he has to get in on everything! so an extra pass.
Hi, Have had Champ show passes before but not for the LKA. Thanks for all the advice. My dog is in joint names with my husband but he is not attending with me so I hope that my friend can get in on the pass. Well, soon find out. If not she can always visit my mother-in-law too!!!!

I'm really fed up - loaned No 3 son Nik my car this morning, as his landy wouldn't start.......as he came to pick me up, he has run it off the road into a ditch :( Fortunately he is alright -at the moment - I haven't decided whether or not to kick his head in

- and a friend is just recovering it at the moment.
He [i/]thinks that he will owe me a new bumper, headlight & exhuast - but until they get it out - who knows? It's just too inconvenient for words - it means I'm stuck without transport until its done - I hate waiting on lifts etc etc - and, knowing my ds, I won't be surprised if I don't have to pay for the repairs first & then he'll pay me back :(
I've deliberately not put him fully comp on my insurance, so that he wouldn't just think he could "borrow" it whenever he wanted, as the others have done in the past. But at least it won't be my no claims bonus being shredded.
So really, I don't think I can justify going to LKA & spending money which I might have to spend elsewhere for the time being.
He will pay for this big time, you can be sure..........
Margot
I'm not a dobe owner but I am up at LKA this Friday, bright and early!! I have a 9 am start with my Giant Schnauzer, never mind plenty of time for shopping!!! (not looking forward to the 3 hour drive there and back though)

Thank goodness for the late start! Was thinking I'd have to leave here at sparrow croak to get there in time!
Decided to go by train as I'm going on my own & the cost of petrol is so high ......might even get a Senior Citizen Railcard & cut the price more ;)

I don't suppose you can drop someone off with the crates like you can at Crufts, can you? Not that I'm likely to talk my OH into coming, I'm just sick of the shuttle bus trek with an excited barking Cavalier in his crate and all the paraphenalia!! :-)
my passes came guess my two don,t want to go as got the post and passes are torn and chewed into pieces
