Hi mini-meg. Piebald is totally unaccespable in the UK, also in Europe for that matter. It is most definately not a 'proper' Dachshund colour. As far as double dapple goes I would say that it might just fit within the colour standard in the UK - however - it is a colour that is to be discouraged. Double dapple comes about by mating dapple to dapple, you do get double dapples - you also get deafness and or blindness - asically it is a mating that is the equivalent of Russian roulette.
If ever I were to judge a double dapple or piebald in the UK I would put it last - and probably withhold any award from it.
I would hope that you would not find a breeder of either of these colours in the UK - if you do the Clubs will want to know.

cheers

hi thanks for that bazb,im definatly not looking for a piebald in the uk i was just courious if there was any ect :) !
i knew about it being dangerous to breed dapple with dapple bacouse double dapples are sometimes born withought eyes, blind or deaf. i was just courious as to wether it was a recognized colour :)
they also have an isabella and tan dacshund in the usa,are they also a colour not exepted by the kc? im assuming they arnt accepted. :)

It would be within our breed standard - which in my view is too vague - but again it is not a true Dachshund colours. Im afraid some inter breed matings may have gone on in the past to come up with various 'rare' colours - all of which will be expensive.
