What's the funniest/most outrageous critique you've had for your dog. Under the same judge at two shows, my boy started off as a promising 8 month male, excellent masculine head etc who went RPIS. Now he's apparently turned into a pretty 13 month bitch with a sweet expression. I can see where the error has happened and I have to admit he did act like a right girl that day. It did make me chuckle though.

I have had Tigs described as liver even though she is black at her first show.  Molly described as femine and elegant when she is butch and built like the side of a house.  One judge did say she had style but he didnt say what kind of style :)

Many years ago I showed a bitch who's movement shall we say was not her fortune (I always hoped for a small ring!!) she looked great stacked.  A judge who shall remain nameless but has since judged a group at crufts wrote 'if the ring had been bigger she would really have driven round' the only way she could have driven round was in a car!!! My friend and I laughed and laughed at this and it has now become a standing joke between us that if we see a dog that can't move we always say but if the ring had been bigger it would be able to move.  Makes you wonder sometimes what these 'top' judges actually know!

Mainly just the usual incorrect interpreting of 'bl' in a Cavalier as 'black', not 'blenheim'! Although my friend's dog got described as a nice blen bitch, when he has a very masculine show name!! :-D

The worse mistakes I have ever seen in critiques were three from the same judge giving the same dog BOB in Beardies Each critique read just like the breed standard with the rider added"This Bitch will easily finish her title if campaigned" Hm only one thing the was a male with a male name. He was an very undersized dog who never got a look in at champ shows becuse he was so small.& to mistake him for a bitch once before reading the cataogue was understandable but twice more knowing he was a dog ????? Words failed me at the time. Adding insult to mistake at one show this judge asked me to come in to challenge for Best Dog with my correctly sized bitch ! She was surprised when I pointed out her BOB was a dog & the second in Open a Huge oversized bitch ! & she still had the dog as a bitch in her write up !

Close up second to this was when a black GSD bitch I showed got a BOB & was described as a B&G ! Now there are only ever a very few real all blacks being shown so calling her a glamourous black & red gold came as a huge surprise !

Not a critique but at Crufts a Breed Specialist in BSDs asked when bitches were in the ring in BSDs(in the years they were one breed) When I said i didn't have a clue I got a funny look so I pointed out my bitch was a GSD she looked shocked LOLOLOLOL She was a very correct GSD bitch too ;)

I had a funny experience when stewarding for a group at an open show - there were 2 dogs that looked to me like Siberian huskies. The owner of the AVNSC winner must have caught me looking confused as they said 'oh, my dog's a *** (can't remember what it was now!) not a bad husky'. I explained I didn't know anything except Cavs and we laughed. 2 minutes later the group judge whispered to me 'what breed's that dog that looks like a husky?' :-D
