out of these wich is your fav. dog
       aussie,corgie,lab,chihuahua,or a mastiff
- By Daisy [gb] Date 19.11.05 21:50 UTC
Well, as I have an Aussie, I'll have to choose an Aussie :D But it's a bit of a strange question as they are very different dogs. My aunt and uncle had a corgi when I was a child which I loved a lot - but I'd never own one. I don't mind labs, but again I'd never have one. The other two I don't like and so would never have. So, do you mean favourite as wanting to own them ???

- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 19.11.05 22:45 UTC
OUt of the above an Aussie firstly then a smoothcoat Chi :d

Though I don't think I'd have either of them as I'd like to stick to my Spanish!
- By MINI-MEG [gb] Date 19.11.05 22:52 UTC

- By BorderCollieLvr [gb] Date 19.11.05 23:05 UTC
aussie for me they look like chunky collies.
- By Sarahlolly [gb] Date 20.11.05 08:45 UTC
Definately the Aussie for me!
- By LucyD [gb] Date 20.11.05 13:47 UTC
Nothing's better than a Cavalier or some sort of spaniel, but out of the options I would go for a Lab, preferably chocolate! :-)
- By KeiraAlphaByron [gb] Date 20.11.05 13:51 UTC
Mastiff without a doubt, don't really think much of the other breeds!
- By feistyblue [gb] Date 20.11.05 14:09 UTC
Dobermanns without a doubt! But out of the above it would be a lab.

Quite like Beagles and dalmations too.
- By chocymolly [gb] Date 20.11.05 14:10 UTC
LAB!!!
- By Lokis mum [gb] Date 20.11.05 14:26 UTC
Mmmm - labrador/aussie?  aussie/labrador?

The only time I can decide which of the two is my favourite depends upon which of the two breeds is behaving badly at a specific time - then, of course, it's the other :D :D

Love 'em both!

My friend has a lovely slim black lab :D He's a rescue and is super :) If I could guarantee getting one like him, I might be tempted to have one :D :D Have been totally put off labs by the number of overweight, lazy ones round here :D

In that case Daisy, you'll love Freya - a sleek black streak of lightning!   You can "almost" see her ribs - which is the way I like labs!   Aunty Gypsy, at nearly 9, is now getting a slight "middle age spread" - but there's nothing I dislike more than a lardy labrador :D

LOL :D My friend in Scotland got her dog from the lab rescue. He was only 5 months, but has proved to be a super dog - she has had him almost a year. She's a child-minder so temperament was very important. She's been taking my advice about how much to feed him (LOL :D ), she goes by 'eye' rather than what it says on the bag and has kept him nice and slim. We've got a black lab down the road who is only a few months older than Tara and can barely walk round the field, she is so fat :(

I know how you feel, I see so many Cavaliers twice the width and weight they ought to be. :-(
- By chocymolly [gb] Date 21.11.05 15:31 UTC
Daisy,

Labradors are made fat by people, they don't start off like it.
You should take a chance and get one!!! Best dogs ever.
I could email you a picture of mine, she's lovely and slim.

Chocymolly.

LOL :) If and when I get another - which won't be for a few years as my two are fine as they are and don't need another dog to spoil things ;) - it will be another Aussie, I'm afraid :)

Maybe I should start another "designer breed" :D - just think - blue & white labs - or yellow aussies :D :D :D

What should we call them - Aussiadors?  or labrasheps?? :D :D :D

Margot

PS ......only kidding
- By kayc [in] Date 21.11.05 17:20 UTC
Not far off the mark Margot, have got bright green and yellow pups at moment,  heads covered in  B-sorb intended for the water bowl, curiosity may have killed the cat lol, but its turned the pups green :D :D

Iv'e got greenies ;)
- By Lokis mum [gb] Date 21.11.05 17:22 UTC
Kay - they sound like Fimbles (on CBBC :) )

You've got a new breed!

Margot

I hope they are alright though!
- By kayc [in] Date 21.11.05 17:50 UTC
My little 'Fimbles' are fine thanks Margot, got most of it washed off, but it really does stain quite badly, they look so stupid :D :D  One of the 'damaged ones' :D I am keeping, but lord knows what the new owner of the other little boy will think when she sees him  :D  he is destined for the showring, probably thinks its sabotage lol.

Well, how on earth do you control 12 x 7week old pups lol
- By kayc [in] Date 21.11.05 17:51 UTC
oops forgot to add my vote,   Labradors, what else :D
- By Daisy [gb] Date 21.11.05 17:29 UTC
Naughty, naughty, Margot - no designer breeds here ;) ;) ;)

- By Natalie1212 Date 21.11.05 09:37 UTC
I am going to be very predictable and say Aussies :D Already planning 'Aussie pup no. 2'
- By Jwilson [gb] Date 21.11.05 10:22 UTC
Leonberger............ but out of the above LAB!!!!!!
- By aussiesfirst [us] Date 21.11.05 15:24 UTC
From my screen name which do you think!  I have had aussies for the last 17 going on 18 years.  Work rescue and shelters for all of that time too.  They just fit me perfectly.
- By cutewolf [gb] Date 21.11.05 15:33 UTC
Out of those breeds I prefer Aussies. Not sure if I'd ever own one though.
- By katiewirth [lu] Date 21.11.05 15:57 UTC
My favourite breed is Doberman, from your list, I would pick labrador.

Katie
- By Enfielrotts [eu] Date 21.11.05 17:18 UTC
Bull Mastiff :D
- By Broomie [gb] Date 21.11.05 17:28 UTC
Labs -  fit, active ones with good movement!
- By chrisjack Date 21.11.05 19:58 UTC
definitley labs- mum breeds them, my fave is scotty, his mum is from a line of ftch's and the dad is a show champ. He weighs 35kg and is pure gorgeousness, not an inch of fat, and a lovely big head, sort looks like a rottie head.
he's only 1 and a half and the best working dog in my area, very soft mouth with the birds bless him, as you can guess i love him so i vote labs- cant stand the people who let theirs get lardy- such a shame.

Then chi's next with bull mastiffs for opposite reasons!
