Well, my puppy once described as 'big and ugly' is really on a roll now - she was 1st in her puppy class of 5 today and won Best Puppy in Breed - I was flabbergasted!!! My friend still says she's 'not her idea of the breed standard', but who cares, other people think she's nice! And my 3 year old got BOB from some fairly stiff competition. Yippee!! Makes all the times we were chucked out worth it! :-D

I must confess we had such a long journey and the venue was so cold that we didn't stay - if it had been on the Group system we would have, but I couldn't face waiting for 4 hours to be thrown out of a class of 25 or 30 dogs twice, then driving home for 2 or 3 hours in the dark. It's the first time I've not stayed on after winning, and I still feel guilty, though the judge said not to worry.

Yay, nice one :D  I'm(kind of) enjoying a weekend free of showing......took Beard-ith out in the frost this morning and had a lazy afternoon in front of the fire :D Glad you had a good day :)

Well done - you must have been really pleased.  A good day for you that and I'm sure you'll be grinning about it for many days to come.

Feel like I haven't been to a show for yonks - miss it!

My boy is suffering with a poorly tail at the mo but fingers crossed we make it to South of England Gundog next Sunday!

Smile and enjoy it!  One day I might get to feel what it's like!

Don't feel bad not staying til the end - I'm sure you will get other chances!

Well done to Henry and Ellie! (is that their names?)  to me if looks lovely!

I'm still grinning now, and boring my OH with constant replays of the day!! :-D Yes, that was Henry and Ellie - most impressed that you know their names. Hope your boy's tail is better soon, poor thing.

Congratulations!! Was this at Newark showground by any chance? Only I've just been speaking to a friend of mine who was there today and by sheer concidence mentioned she saw 2 Cavaliers from London where one took BP and one BOB -it's not her breed but she'd noticed them. Said one was Blenheim.

'CONGRATULATIONS'  Lucy, Henry and Ellie !

Yes, that was me, my blenheim boy got BOB and my tri girl was BP. Still feel guilty over not staying - at least now I know that it is better for me to put up with a long cold wait and a long journey than to feel guilty about not staying for the rest of my life!! And now I'll never know if they might have done anything. Perhaps I'll try to stick with Grouped shows, it's much more fun to have 8 or 10 dogs competing for 4 places, than to have 30 dogs competing for 2 places!! :-)
