Well Carina is with my mum and dad at the moment with her 6 pups.  My mum's bitch also had a pup on the same day.  Unfortuantely yet again the latter dreaded mother doesn't want anything to do with her offspring, this is the third litter in a run, different mother where this happened.

The pups are now nearly 4 days old and Carina is now feeding both liteers!  It's so funny feeding the her own pups and putting this tiny 2 oz other puppy on to suckle to, but she's coming on really well.  Please keep everything crossed that Carina will continue to be a good surrogate mother.

Keeping everything crossed for you all :)  My Emma took on 5 foster babies (that had lost their Mum) when she had her 2.  It was mine & Emma's first litter & WOW what a leap to go from 2 to 7!!  I will never, ever, forget that litter & how brilliantly my Emma coped & looked after all of those babies :)  I'm sure everything will go well for you & the puppies.

Thanks everyone.  Mum is stil having to hand rear her as such, but at least we are able to get that bit of extra support from Carina.

Fingers crossed that all goes well.  Hopefully tomorrow night and Saturday I will take over so that mum can get at least 2 nights sleep.  Unfortunately it looks as though the other  mother has no milk, but she is able to clean her pup although she will not allow her to be with her.

Well after quite a heartbreaking day yesterday and thinking that we were going to lose her, the pup is strong again today and Carina is being a wonderful surrogate mum!

Hopefully if all seems well I'll take some photo's tonight.

If the other bitch isn't mothering at all then it woudl be beter for Carina to ahve her full time, that way you won't e having strage smells for both bitches on the pup.  this should work fine for at least 3 weeks, and possibly longer until the bigger pups become too boisterous for the little pom.

Carina isn't the most delicate of girls unfortuantely :d  Her pups are also about 5 times bigger than the Pom pup.  Tried different people in Poms and nobody has pups at the moment.

Just phoned mum and pup is still doing well, so got everything crossed.
