Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Affix "Midnight" or "Midnite"
- By Guest [gb] Date 18.11.05 12:44 UTC
Is there an affix called Midnight or Midnite as I'd like the KC name of my next dog to have this word in it, but am unsure if someone may have an affix using it!
Thanks in advance :)

I actually applied for the affix midnight and was turned down presumably because it is a common word as my eldest bitch is midnight flashdance!  Not sure about midnite they might let you ;)

You should be okay as the whole litter that my Tibetan Mastiff puppy came from has a kennel name containing the word Midnight and it's not the breeder's affix. It is, as stated, probably too common a word to use as an affix. If you are buying the puppy from a breeder with an affix you should be fine, presuming they will let you chose your puppy's name! A lot of breeders choose a theme and register the pups before being sold.
