- By Daisy [gb] Date 13.11.05 12:36 UTC
I take it that you don't watch ANY TV then, MM :D

I have to admit that I watch hardly any of the programmes on your list :D But I do enjoy Have I Got News For You - so not all Quiz/Politics programmes are bad :D Also, I think that all people should try to watch the News at least once a week :)

>Looks like noone watches the TV after 10:30pm on a Thursday its all politics yuk!! I forgot about Star Trek horrible! <

Not on all the channels :D There are always videos & DVDs you know ;)

I love the CSI/Missing etc type programs & my all time favourite has to be between ER & MASH in American programs & Morse wins hands down for UK ones !

Pity we have never had Kommandant Rex over here A modern Rin Tin Tin series based in Austria & featuring a scrummy GSD & a human co star who was not best pleased at being upstaged by Rex ! LOLOLOLOL
- By Moonmaiden Date 13.11.05 12:44 UTC
Have I got news isn't a political program It's satire & brilliantly funny too :D
- By Daisy [gb] Date 13.11.05 12:50 UTC
Agreed - but you have to have a little knowledge of politics to understand it fully :D :D

Daisy
- By Moonmaiden Date 13.11.05 13:27 UTC
LOL just because I don't like political programs doesn't mean I'm not interested in politics I just can't stand programs about them LOLOL

- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 13.11.05 22:42 UTC
I don't think I could ever call Neighbours 'the best show in the world!!!!' ;) but it's one of which I've watched almost every episode since it began! I do enjoy my fix! :D
- By wheaten_mad [gb] Date 14.11.05 18:43 UTC

I am in shock that Star Trek, Dr Who , ANY American programme and  programmes about Antiques are all included in the lists so far

 :)
- By Daisy [gb] Date 13.11.05 13:27 UTC
LOL :D

American programmes should have a import ban on them, as far as I'm concerned :D :D :D

Now, as far as antiques programmes are concerned, I could watch them ALL day (apart from the rubbish ones that involve boot fairs :D :D )

Daisy
- By Herbiedax [gb] Date 13.11.05 13:37 UTC
Yes Daisy, hear! hear! ban the American programmes. Antiques, no thanks, I hate, loathe and detest David Dickinson and that chap with the gap in his teeth :-)
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 13.11.05 13:39 UTC
I loathe DD as well but Antiques Roadshow is brilliant . As to US shows nooo:

Carnivale
Nip/Tuck
ER
Lost
Grey's Anatomy

To name but a few :D
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 13.11.05 16:02 UTC
I better just reiterate ..the US shows that are in my list are the ones I lurve ;)
- By Daisy [gb] Date 13.11.05 16:13 UTC

Daisy
- By Daisy [gb] Date 13.11.05 13:42 UTC
LOL - I'm no fan of David Dickinson either, but I do like the Antiques Roadshow (have been watching it since it started) and also Flog It :)

Daisy
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 13.11.05 13:42 UTC

- By Daisy [gb] Date 13.11.05 13:46 UTC
:) Arthur Negus :) They did try to run a new series a few years ago, but it was rubbish :( Can't remember the exact format but I seem to remember that they had celebrities on it :( :(

Daisy
- By Herbiedax [gb] Date 13.11.05 13:47 UTC

- By Kerioak Date 13.11.05 16:00 UTC
I am curious as to how you can all come up with worst programme lists :-)  I could not tell you my least favourites as if I do not like one then I will switch over and avoid it in future, thus therefore never being able to produce a numbered list :)
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 13.11.05 16:02 UTC
Same with me ;) That's why I didn;t actually do a 'worst programme' list :p I could do a BEST programme list easy peasy

:D
- By Daisy [gb] Date 13.11.05 16:05 UTC
But there must have been something about the programme to make you switch over :D :D

I have had the misfortune to have had to watch programmes because my offspring/husband are watching them. If I have control of the 'button-pusher', they are switched off :D

Daisy
- By Kerioak Date 13.11.05 16:14 UTC
Let's say if a programme such as Big Brother or Little Britian came on then I would either switch over or leave the room and go and play with the dogs
- By Herbiedax [gb] Date 13.11.05 17:22 UTC
It's as easy to come up with the 10 worst as it is the best. There are programmes you can put up with for the sake of the OH and those that you switch over/off as soon they start. My hate of all time has to be the american sitcoms.......... oh I remember another Taxi!! :-D
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 13.11.05 18:55 UTC
I think my BIGGEST loathing is reserved for Golf
- By clutha [gb] Date 13.11.05 19:19 UTC
LOL:
amongst my favourite programmes ARE:
Question time
Simpsons
Dr Who
Frasier
The Office
24
all Star Treks
Uni challenge
ER
Lost
Neighbours
- By munkeemojo Date 13.11.05 21:29 UTC
ooo yeah mel-never thought of that one. And cricket.
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 13.11.05 19:24 UTC
I loathe, in no particular order:

1. The Office
2. Little Britain
3. Match of the Day
4. Anything along the lines of Trisha/ Oprah/ Jerry Springer
5. Corrie
6. Richard and Judy
7. Cash in the Attic (because they cheat people)
8. What Not To Wear
9. Almost all daytime TV
10. Big Brother
- By spellmaker [gb] Date 13.11.05 20:34 UTC
My hubby took early retirement in January of this year , when I get in from work he is usually watching corny old american detective stories or gardening programmes or DIY or cooking programmes I hate them all.
I,m just so glad I,ve discovered Champdogs it keeps me sane.
- By huskypup [us] Date 14.11.05 11:30 UTC
Most of my list seems to be Sci-fi progs:

1. Star Trek et al
2. Andromeda
3. Hex
4. Buffy
5. Charmed
6. Babylon 5
7. Farscape
8. Match of the Day and any sports pundit type prog.
9. Horror movies
10. Probably another Sci-fi prog that I can't think of right now :)

My OH loves the Sci-fi channel and watches all of the above, but at least he takes pity on me and tapes them to watch when I'm out of the way doing something else - most of the time.  However, I have found that I like Lost and the 4400 - perhaps the genre is growing on me.  OH and I both dislike most sports progs :D
- By Rosemarie [gb] Date 14.11.05 11:34 UTC
I am ashamed to admit that I have recently started enjoying Top Gear (more for the comedy than the cars)
- By ShaynLola Date 14.11.05 12:08 UTC
Me too Rosemarie :) I have very little interest in cars but I find Top Gear really entertaining.
- By Natalie1212 Date 14.11.05 13:28 UTC
We don't watch that much telly, we watch a lot of films and DVD's so I am not sure I know of enough programs to think of 10 I don't like but here goes:

1) Dr. Who...
2) ... Or any fictional space "drama's" e.g. Star Trek
3) Cricket, Golf, most sports really.
4) Cookery programs (either how to's or who is the best chef ones)
5) Any thing that has that many edited bleeps in it that you can't even understand what they are trying to say.
6) The Bill
7) That cartoony thing that is on ITV in the evenings, with the models made out of dough, I think there is some sort of bird in it or something
8) Simpsons
9) Anything with that couple on, is it Colin and James or something?
10) I am really scraping the bottom of the barrel now, ummmm.... Brainteaser on Channel 5 at lunch times, the quizzes are good but who ever it is that writes the scripts needs to be sacked, it is terrible!

My favourites are:

1) X Factor, at the moment
2) Big Brother
3) Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway
4) Doc Martin
5) Frost
6) Bad Girls
7) Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere
8) Top Gear
9) The Royal Family
10) Good Ol' Parky ;)
- By clutha [gb] Date 14.11.05 13:43 UTC
agggggggghhhhhh!!!! I absolutely cant stand Parky. He is my main annoyance at the mo.
Because he just slated Jonathan Ross, etc, as bearing inferior interviewers, which I found the pot calling the kettle black!! Parkys style is soooo soooo dull, not to mention creeping and sycophantic.
Least Ross asks some interesting AND entertaining questions, things we really want to know, not just boring psychobabble about their childhoods, who influences their movie characters, and do any of their personalities seep into their "characters", etc, etc. This allows celebrities to be way too up themselves and pretensious, espesh if their latest piece of "art" is just basic entertainment!!
Unlike Ross, who can disarm celebrities and then tell them some truths and personal observations, WHILST still making friends with them AND getting them to laugh (and the viewers)!!!
Now that is true skill!!!!

Can you tell how I feel. LOL
- By Natalie1212 Date 14.11.05 13:49 UTC
LOL Clutha :D :D :D

I used to really like Jonathon Ross until he did 'They Think it's All Over' (which should have come somewhere in my top ten fav's) but he seemed to really try too hard for my liking, and he never shut up and let anyone else have a go, and then the odd time he did give his mouth a rest and let someone else speak, all he did was knock them down for it, Rory was too fat, Gary's ears were too big etc. it really put me off him.

I like Parky because he doesn't get overly involved, he asks a question and then the guest goes off on a tangent and I feel we get to see more of the guest than on other shows. And I think some part's of it are very funny!!! :D
- By Liisa [gb] Date 14.11.05 13:58 UTC
my favs are:

Spooks
Charmed
Most Haunted
Make me a Million
Diagnosis Murder LOL :-)
X Factor (what time is it? - sad I know)
The Bill
Eastenders
Wife Swap

YES I KNOW - I NEED TO GET A LIFE LOL
- By alfredo Date 14.11.05 14:09 UTC
HI Liisa! Someone else who likes Spooks! Can you believe the ending of the last episode ? Is Adam dead???
- By munkeemojo Date 14.11.05 16:54 UTC
i watch most haunted too lisa. I always moan about how nothing'll happen, that they're all a bunch of farts for asking for things to happen, then freaking out when they do, but i still watch it!
- By munkeemojo Date 14.11.05 16:52 UTC
i love it (top gear) for seeing james and jeremy picking on little richard. Awww, bless. I do the like the cars though-some of anyway!
