The evil one has taken to sleeping on top of the radiator.  I do keep moving her and she keeps going back but our sofa backs onto the bliming thing.  Do you think she will damage herself if she sits there too long.  she is lying sideways so her paws arent on there.  Anybody want a beagle with attitude?

Depends on how hot the radiator gets.........

My elderly one likes to sit right infront of the halogen heater we're using a the moment ('cos the C/H is knackered) every time I see her doing it, I just get her attention, and call her to settle on her beanbag.  What you offer as an alternative has to be just as comfortable for the dog, so there would be no point in asking the dog to settle in a cold corner for example, but they might be OK with settling on the sofa if you allow it........

I'd rearrange the furniture so the sofa didn't back on to radiator. It'd have the advantage of allowing more heat into the room too!

why not try putting a hot water bottle under the covers in the dog bed, this way there is still warmth and should be more comfy than the radiator top!
