Does anybody fancy taking part in a CD Trivia quiz competition  ?

It can be set up here http://www.funtrivia.com/customtournament.cfm?friends=1

I think it will last for a month and it will keep the tally of everybodies score ! :)

I would like to take part but won't have time to set it up etc if anybody wants to volunteer ? :D

I'd love to take part but wouldn't have a clue how to set it up.
- By sandrah Date 10.11.05 17:39 UTC
If JG is taking part then the rest of us need not bother :D
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 10.11.05 17:41 UTC
I already participate in a couple of these but I work too many hours now to actually run one :)
- By LJS Date 10.11.05 17:48 UTC
If you go to the next page you send them your details and they then e-mail the instructions. It says it only takes about 15mins and then each day you have to set the type and level of difficulty for the questions I think ! :)

I wouldn't be available everyday as when I stay away I don't have access or the time to surf so that is why I am asking for a volunteer ! :)

I'll participate if I can be on JG's team :)
- By LJS Date 10.11.05 17:52 UTC
Sorry Bert, whoops I mean Libs it is individual participation and we may have to introduce a handicap scheme to help us not so clever people at least have half a chance of getting on the score board :D

i've just checked on this site lucy, and if i've looked at it right, you have to have played 100 quizzes before setting one up yourself.........?

nicola

(i don't have a life, so will do it if i can figure it out :D)
- By munkeemojo Date 10.11.05 18:55 UTC
i don't know if this is what you were after, but http://www.funtrivia.com/private/main.cfm?tid=39226
- By LJS Date 10.11.05 20:21 UTC
Just what we are after  !!!!! :D :D

So do you have to go in every day now and set the questions ?? Can we have non doggie questions as well ;)

Whey hey I am second at the mo but naffed off as selected one of the answers correctly but is said I was wrong :(  :D

Thanks for doing this as think it will be good fun !!

The only big flaw in this though is register under two names and then have a go get the answers to the ones you get wrong and then do it again using the other name

Lets hope nobody does this as I think we will suss you out ;)

*holds my hand up* I did the two name thing lucy! Only because the first one was a test, and it was non-doggy, then i thought "oooo...maybe they want doggy/2, so changed it, but because 'munkeemojo' had already done the quiz, i couldn't do it again (even though it was a different quiz  ), so i did the 'mojo' thing so make sure the quiz had changed. I shall not be doing it again :D ! As for the changing the questions everyday, yeah i do, but like i said-i have no life, so....!! Tomorrow will be general knowldege then.... Any other requests? TV, music...?

I think (and we have tested this on another forum I am on that has a fun trivia challenge) that everyone gets different questions ;) So there would be no benefit to joining with 2 different names
- By LJS Date 10.11.05 21:20 UTC
So is it fair then as I must have got some very easy questions then :D

Did you get a the Bulldog question ?

Lucy

- By Melodysk [gb] Date 10.11.05 21:33 UTC
Nope, no bulldog question for me :)
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 10.11.05 22:00 UTC
I got two questions about the dog in Peter Pan! :D
- By goldengirl Date 10.11.05 22:21 UTC
Lucy maybe you are just very clever and didn't know it:D
- By kayc [gb] Date 11.11.05 00:49 UTC
I am well pee'd off :(  Thats what I get for not reading the thing properly,  didnt realise we were on a time limit   So carried on reading the forum in between answering.  DUH  :D
- By CherylS Date 10.11.05 20:47 UTC
ha ha ha - I got 4!  I have never heard of most of those - obviously.
- By LJS Date 10.11.05 21:00 UTC
Have looked at the results so far and I have beaten JG in a quiz about dogs  :D

JG you did do it in a faster time so maybe that is the reason as can't imagine how on earth it could have happened  :D

- By Brunodog Date 10.11.05 21:04 UTC
DOH!!! I only got 3 right :(
- By munkeemojo Date 10.11.05 21:08 UTC
i just thought lucy-my 10 score was for a diff quiz-i only scored 4 on the doggy one, so that really makes you top of the board!!!!!!!!!
- By LJS Date 10.11.05 21:13 UTC
No cause Mel (Cleverclogs) has beaten me into first place now  :D :D

So how come you got a score on this one then if it was for a different one ??

So are you ok being the Quiz master then for the next few weeks ? :D

I always was a quick worker Lucy.

Mind I had to guess at a couple of questions, guess which ones I got wrong. lol!!!
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 10.11.05 21:33 UTC
I am second ...munkeemojo is first :)
- By satincollie (Moderator) Date 10.11.05 21:42 UTC
Ha Ha Ha
- By munkeemojo Date 10.11.05 21:29 UTC
yeah i am. I'll do it when between dog walking and hubby chauffering!

as for the score thing, i don't quite know. When i tried the whole quiz thing out as a test, it was already set for general knowledge. I did that one and scored 10, but then i thought i'd do a doggy quiz seeing as we're dog nutters, assuming it'd run alongside the general knowledge one. It didn't. It wiped the knowledge one and replaced it with the dog one  So there we go! I'm thinking of doing loads of quizzes, then i can make my own up...hmm......
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 10.11.05 21:59 UTC
I had no idea about the US presidents, and there was someone whose name I didn't even recognise, so they were guesses!
- By LJS Date 11.11.05 07:31 UTC
Were these doggie related questions ?? :)

- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 11.11.05 08:37 UTC

LOL just did it. Better think about the questions a bit harder tomorrow ;-)
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 11.11.05 08:42 UTC
It's got a real US bias, hasn't it? I have to guess the ones about the AKC, US TV programmes, commercials and football team mascots. And who the heck was Sgt Preston?
- By munkeemojo Date 11.11.05 08:58 UTC
just put the general knowledge one up
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 11.11.05 09:07 UTC
hmmm , that means all of us that struggled with the dogs ones this morning now can't play again
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 11.11.05 09:11 UTC
It said that today's topic was General Knowledge, so I clicked Play Now and got American dog questions - no general knowledge at all. :(
