Hi, has anyone any idea if sherleys worming syrup for puppies is any good. it is chocolate flavour, and treat roundworms, this is for worming pups at 2 4 and 6 weeks of age. thanks

Don't use it. ONLY buy wormers from the vet or from the specialist pet pharmacies online. The over the counter ones are NOT effective, and can even be dangerous. I used Sherleys for my cats years ago and one of them had a stroke. She had a tilted head for the rest of her life after that.I wrote about it in a breed club magazine and have since then (last time was last year so it is still happening) been contacted by other people whose animals also had strokes and fits after being wormed with Sherleys. Sherleys themselves aren't interested, the only response you get is "Yes this happen but only in 0.5 % of all animals wormed with it." That's too much for me if it's my animal....... I also NEVER managed to get rid of worms when I did use Sherleys for dogs. So please go to your vet or use somehting like
http://www.vet-medic.com .

It's probably better than nothing, but far better to get a really effective product from your vet.
Hi, thanks for the advice, i do have some panacur liquid, but will need some more, its just that someone told me to use sherleys as it is about £10. cheaper and they tolerate it better with it being chocolate flavour. I will stick to panacur liquid, thanks
I have brought sherleys worming syrup for my pups they had ther first dose this week and it seemed to go ok, dont know about any long term effects but its gotta work or they wouldnt have it on the market, it was £5 a tub and they all needed one squirt of it. Most lapped it up the one did cough dont know weva it went down the wrong way ha ha. So not problems so far, vets will only reccomend there products same as any other company would reccomend there own products...
>I have brought sherleys worming syrup for my pups they had ther first dose this week and it seemed to go ok, >dont know about any long term effects but its gotta work or they wouldnt have it on the market,
LOL, if you take that attitude then it should apply to everything -slimming pills, hair restorer, body parts enlarger -they're all still on the market! :D I can guarantee you that there are wormers that do NOT do their job, as only VETS and licenced pet pharmacies are allowed by law to sell the stuff that is strong enough. The exact same goes for flea treatment.
i am open to offers, but if this isnt working what side effects am i looking for? i knw the obvious bloated belly and eating loads, but im just weaning them at the moment so there eatin quite a bit, I have seen no worms in there poo...what u suggest?

Contact your vet and get the most suitable treatment for both mum and pups. Either Panacur or Drontal seem to be the best.
>its gotta work or they wouldnt have it on the market
Not necessarily. As long as it doesn't do harm anyone can sell anything. There are other more effective products.
