Hello,
Can you buy tickets at the door for Discover Dogs? Will there be a huge queue?
ice_queen- Have you managed to get a lift yet?
- By ice_cosmos Date 07.11.05 21:28 UTC
Yes you can buy tickets on the door but there may be a bit of a queue. The year before last I virtually walked straight in but last year we were queuing for quite a while.

Hiya.  Yes thanks I've changed my day and now going Saturday!  Our only problem now is the dogs (was going to do Discover dogs however organiser decided someone with 11 years experiance in the breed and many years doing DD breed stand and the first people to ask him would be the people he turned down because of too many offer!!! :D  So now someone has to stay at home to look after the dogs!

If you've pre bought the tickets is there much of a queue? Last year i arrived late at 11.30 and walked straight in despite having to buy a ticket but i'm a bit more well prepared and we a re leaving earlier!

I'm going on Saturday, first time. Looking forward to it. My friends got her rotti in the JW Semi finals on the Saturday and my friends have got their two Akitas there on the breed stands on Saturday.  Do pop over if you're there.

Oh it's a shame that you have to look after the dogs on Sunday! What breed of dogs do you own? Is there any different between Saturday and Sunday? Will all breeds be there on both days? Sorry for all the questions but the website doesn't give much information on this sort of thing!
Thanks,
Lauren

No lauren someone had to look after the dogs on the saturday but it's now all sorted (though I'm looking after them sunday because everyone else of to a show!)

Only difference between saturday and sunday is the ring programms, they vary slightly.  All breeds should be there all days but you must accept some days some breeds won't be coverd because in minority breeds there arn't enough people avalible!

I have Irish Red and White setters and Australian shepherd.  but will be with a Parson Russel most of the day!!! :D

It's in London at Earls court next saturday and sunday! :)

It is a really spectacular event! :)

Thanks for all of the replies everyone! I was just asking for a friend really because she wants to come but she didn't book the tickets in advance and she was worrying that they wouldn't be selling them at the door. I'm lucky, just a flash of my YKC badge and I'm in ;) (I hope!) Does anyone have an idea as to how much a ticket will cost? My friend is 15..:)
Thank you!
- By ice_queen Date 09.11.05 18:10 UTC

I'm going on Saturday :D should be fun!

Does anyone know anything about the parking there? Last year I vaguely remember the Earls Court car park being full (I think) so we had to try to find somewhere nearby and ended up paying something like £25 to park! Dad wont be very happy if that happens again!
- By ice_queen Date 09.11.05 18:53 UTC
£24 for 6-8 hours or something like that for carparking!  Dad looked it up and looking for a loan!!!!
- By laurentodd [gb] Date 09.11.05 20:27 UTC
Oh that is alot of money! Is there anywhere to park free? Yes- I'm a cheap skate! :D
- By ice_queen Date 09.11.05 23:13 UTC

Hi Guys,

I was at Discover Dogs yesturday and had a fantastic day. I was on the Beagle Stand which I thought might prevent me from spending too much money, it didn't but had a really good time. Bought lots of bits and pieces! Always love to talk Beagles!

Anyone who was there yesturday or going today have a fantastic time! :)
- By Nette [gb] Date 13.11.05 08:51 UTC
