Can anyone tell me what a good height to get for a Great Dane? I have tried looking at many places at they dont seem to be that high. There is a really nice one on Petsmart website in America and that stands at 18". The highest i have found here is 15". Is there any websites that are recommended?

Thanks in advance..

hi, i have a raised feeding stand for my Rhodesian Ridgeback dog ( he stands about 29" to the shoulder) and his must be about 18" ( i'm only guessing) but i'm afraid i cant help you with a website as i got mine from a local garden centre. i had been looking for a tall enough one for ages and snapped it up. what i'm trying to say is, just look around and not just pet shops. you could always make your own, mungo had his food bowl put  in a washing up bowl screwed to a chair with legs cut to the right height for ages before i found the stand! good luck!

Hi, i also have a 21" feeding stand for my 6mth old Dane, that to me looks to low but i cant find one any higher than 21" :(

Blues Mum my stands for my Danes are 20 inches just at shoulder height so I would think yours at 21 inches would be more than high enough.

Hi Meredith, it just seems like his leaning more and more down the more his growing, at what height exactly should the stand be to the dog?

Hi Bluesmum, I have attempted to e mail you some pics rather than explain, I am not very good at this sort of thing so let me know if they arrive.

I got your pics, thanks! Your bowls look higher than mine! lol Ive just been and checked where the stand is to Blue and its only just above his elbow! Maybe i should use the yellow pages hahaha :)
