Could I just ask you to spare a few moments' thought for the family (a dad and his 2 young sons) of a lady I used to go dog walking with.  She was murdered in January of this year while she was out walking her dog. The trial is due to end next week and I know it's been a very harrowing time for the family, having to re-live the awful events of that terrible day.

I pray that God will bless and comfort them.

That's awful.  Death is destroying to any family but murder must be so much worse.  I wish them well in trying to deal with this terrible time.

The part that gets to me is that, when the lady was found, her beloved terrier, the only witness, was sitting faithfully by her side.  The police gently lifted the poor dog up and carried her away. If only animals could talk....

They must be going through hell. Lets hope they find whoever they have got, guilty so at least the family will be able to move on.

There is an unsolved murder in the village next to us where a woman was killed whilst out walking her dog. Somebody was arrested but then found not guilty. They haven't found anybody else and that is ten years on. Slightly worrying that it is so close by :(
