My ckcs pup is 9 weeks old tomorrow and he sleeps lots. He's my first baby and wondered if anyone could inform me  what is normal in terms of hours per day spent sleeping? He's flat out now and has been for 2 hours!!

All normal, he's a baby and babys sleep a lot so they can grow! LOL Enjoy watching him sleep! All the best, Dawn

At that age he will probably have about 10 - 20 minutes playing, running etc, followed by 2/3/4 hours sleep.  Poppy (CKCS) is now 8 months and she can have an hour or so playing followed by 2 hours sleeping.  She can have 8 hours sleep at night, be up and playing for an hour and then go back to sleep for a couple of hours. 

Make the most of it, won't be long before he is rushing round driving you mad!!!!!

yeah do make the most of it lol .my mini dacs puppys ruby's 13 weeks old now and shes into everything she still sleeps alot but wen she isnt sleeping shes into everything lol .ruby still sleeps loads she wakes up every couple of hrs then playes for half an hr then sleeps again lol. but you will find each week he will start to stay awake more,its completly normal for him to sleep loads.enjoy him wile hes little they grow up so fast :d

Gosh, lucky you! Mine sleep for ages if I'm sitting quietly, but if I so much as twitch before getting up they are all awake and following me again!! :-D
