Hi all

My brother in law and his family are thinking of getting a cocker spaniel puppy. They have 2 girls aged 7 & 12, who are well behaved and used to dogs.
Can anyone tell me what health tests should cockers have, and is there anything else they need to be aware of?

Here are the various health issues to consider when thinking about a Cocker.  I would also recommend that you contact the Breed club if you decide you wish to be put in touch with a breeder to ensure that you are buying from someone adhering to their code of conduct.
