hello,
ive recently changed vets after months of messing around with a useless one and found out the cause of my year old dogue de bordeauxs skin irritation is a few allergic reactions.they had blood samples sent away and came back with a list of all he is allergic to.this includes rice, wheat, corn, sugar beet, soya, carrot, and peanuts.as a result the only food i found that never had any of these was a salmon a potato one which he didnt really like so now i am feeding him on cooked animal mince and boiled potatoes which he really loves with occasional sardines mixed in,but i am worried that he wont be getting enough vitamins and wondered if a human multi vitamin would be alright for him as the only dog vitamins ive found so far are corn oil based.cheers

Try SA 47 you can get it from a vets.

You would probably be better off feeding him raw meat and which ever veg he is ok with, than cooked, as cooking will unbalance it.

Chicken wings are a good ratio of bone to meat, and you can also feed chicken carcasses, necks, turkey necks, turkey wings etc, lamb ribs.

Veg you just blend up a lot once a week and freeze in meal sized portions.

Vary the meats fed, and you will find which suit your dog best, try not to stick to just one meat though or that can encourage allergies.

Sardines are a good food, you may find that the glenryck pilchards are cheaper though! :D
