Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Boxers with lumps

Hi

Can anyone please help me...I have recently noticed both of my boxers have a few tiny lumps, probably no bigger than five pence piece. Phoebe has one on her tummy and the other one Henry has one near to his tail/spine. They are just under the skin but don't seem to be attached to anything. Henry is 3 and Phoebe is 2 years old. Should i be worrying about these lumps or just keep an eye on them.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Tina

Have they recently had a booster, been anywhere different where they could have come in contact with some kind of allergen ?  Our own boxer gets a few lumps after injections and I've heard of others get this too and as they have both developed these at the same time (?) my guess would be something that they have both got into (Boxers are inquisitive and extremely helpful pups so I wouldn't be surprised if they have both been somewhere where they shouldn't have been :D )

However, having said that, boxers are prone to cancers so I would deffinately get them to the vets to be checked over just to be on the safe side.

They sound like lipomas which are common in many breeds and are harmless, but best to let your vet have a look.

Hi are these lumps pink fleshy looking with no heads on them. boxers are prone to tumors, cysts etc. I would take them along to your vets to get them both checked over. to rule out ant lymph node problems....

Thank you for all of your advice...we have recently moved and they have been mooching around our overgrown garden lately so they may have reacted to something...I will take them to the vets for a checkup though to be on the safe side.
