I have a dog who is now two years old, we have been really lucky and not encountered Fleas up until now. The problem is i cannot get rid of the damn things! We have tried everything, gave her flea tablets, used flea shampoo used the drops that you put on the back of their necks but still no luck. Everytime we treat her we shampoo all the carpets and wash everything including bedding, teddies etc. Please can anyone advise of any excellent products that will get rid of this problem! Thanks

You'll also need to spray the house - carpets, sofa, armchairs etc. I've found 'Staykil' to be effective.
Have you a cat, or a hedgehog in your garden? Or does your dog go rabbiting? These are all ways that he could be getting re-infested.
We had 'the visitors' in a few months back, I was recommended 'Aclaim' (I think that was what it was called - Margot? I think it was you who told me about it!) to spray the house with, and touching every piece of wood in sight, I haven't seen any more of the wee beasties, it is available from the vets, I think it was about £13-ish and only just did our average sized 3 bed semi :D
I was told to completely gut the house, clean carpets, curtains, bedding, sofas, teddys, - eveything, spray the stuff which is just like an aerosol can, then completely leave it for a week, no hoovering or anything for a full 7 days, and then gut the house again! It is a lot of work but it is worth it to get rid of them!
HTH :D

Acclaim is the stuff. It has a knockdown insecticide and a juvenile hormone which prevents larvae completing the change from larvae to adult. It has always worked really well for us when we've had beasties.
You could try frontline or advantage from the vets. The stuff they sell in pet shops never seem to work very well.

If you haven' already done so, you should always get your flea drops from your vets. Frontline is excellent and will kill everything from egg to flea. Over the counter flea drops only kill the mature flea and larvae not the eggs.. Also if you have a bad infestation as suggested also spray your home. But Frontline is brilliant, it needs to be put on your dog once a month. I have dogs and cats and have never had a flea in sight.
