when my partner came home from work this afternoon my youngest dog was sat on the stairs and wouldnt come down sinse then she hasnt walked i have stood her up but she just stands there she appears to be holding one leg up (not off the ground) as if she isnt putting any weight on it. she wont eat or drink either. i've checked her over and i cant see any thing wrong except where the leg joins the body it appears to be swollen but i can not be sure. lay down she can move her legs but if i put her on her back she can't move all her body round on to the front (she can move the front of her body). also one of her eyes is producing a lot of gunk (sleep). i will take her to the vets in the morning but im so worried i was wondering if any of you could shead some light on what might be wrong i will be very gratefull. many thanks charlene

I don't think anyone could say over the internet you will have to wait until the vet examines her.  I would not deliberately put her on her back, though, as she may injure it further trying to right herself just let her rest somewhere comfortably until the vet has seen her.

I would nip her to the vets and let them handle it. Im sure they will put her right in no time.

A troll is an internet wind up merchant which sadly we get a fair few of on Champdogs.  But don't worry if you look at all the guest postings the reminders are put on them all so there is no value judgement applied to your post :)
