We ve had our dog now for 10 months...(shes 1 tomorrow!), and is a complete joy, apart from the fact she still play bites, but we are managing to control that a the moment.
My husband and I s problem is that when we go to hug/kiss/anything..our dog jumps up and nips our fingers, hands anything she can reach.
We dont know if shes just getting excited and wants to be part of our hugs, and we thought it was cute at first, but its getting a bit out of hand as my husband and I tend to either not cuddle much or break away as soon as she jumps up!!  We ve tried obviously going into another room when we want time alone, but seriously we cant be leaving the room the dogs in everytime we want a hug or a kiss!!  I hope this doesnt sound silly, but I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same kind of problem?
Could there be a possibility our dogs jealous, or perhaps just wants to be a part of the hug but does not know the appropriate way to communicate this to us?
Any advice appreciated.  Thank you

don't know if this helps but we dog sit for a friend and the dog doesn't let me near my partner if i sit next to him she will push in and plonk her self right in the middle if i go to give him a kiss she will jump up and get in the way. sounds like you are right she wants to be involved in the affection just continue to tell her no and down or the best is to try and ignore her (that is if she's not clamped around your finger) good luck! charlene
