my puppy has a runny bottom, with what looks like a bit of mucus in, also there was a stone in the last one. She is 9 weeks old, and does eats leaves in the garden, even though i try to stop her. Do you think this could be the cause, or could it just be stress from the move ???
Please take your puppy to the vets.

Perhaps Justlou it would be helpful to expand on your suggestion.
Firstly, how long have you had her? Upset tums are common when going to a new home - long journey; change of water; change of environment, etc can all bring on the runs.
Are you feeding her the same food as her breeder? Any change could bring about upset. Is she healthy in other ways? Has she been sick? Does she look listless, have a dry nose, appear unwell?
If she's drinking, eating and otherwise playing happily it would be prudent to keep a close eye on her. Check your garden for anything nasty if she has a habit of eating rubbish.
Of course the vet should be your first port of call if she really does seem poorly, but otherwise just keep an eye on her. Oh! And register with this forum so you can ask more questions!
Good Luck.
Hi, i sent the original message as a guest. We have only had the puppy a week, and have not changed her diet from the diet she was having with the breeder. We were giving her puppy treats as a reward for toilet training, but we stopped that yesterday as i noticed her poo was a bit softer. She went to the vets a few days ago, as she was scratching her ears alot and they prescribed Canaural ear drops. I will be phoning the vets, first thing in the morning. We have a cat, who has had a little swip at her a couple of times, because she got a bit close, but she doesnt seem stressed by that, cause she keeps trying to play with her. Could cat faeces be a problem, as she tried eating some the other day in the garden ? Not our cats she goes in somebody elses garden !!!
Hi, i took the puppy to the vets this morning, They gave her an antibiotic injection and some medicine called pro-kolin, i have to starve her today, but the vet said if she gets really hungry to give her some chicken soup or rice pudding, then take her back tomorrow to she how she is. I just hope that this wil sort it all out !!!
