i am getting a new pupy in 2 weeks. She will be a nine week old labrador retiever. any hints. I've never had a puppy b4.

Start as you mean to go on ... the biggest mistake new dog owners make with cute puppies is letting them do the things which are fun when they are tiny puppies, but which they will then berate the adult dog for .. ie jumping up. Learn to say NO firmly so that the dog understands that concept from early days.

Oh and love it for the rest of its life....

Please read as much as you can, books on how the dogs mind works and training books. You may well find yourself confused, there are so many methods! Go and see how your local training classes strike you, just watch, and see where you feel comfortable.

Before his/her injections are complete do not neglect socialisation, carry him out to watch the traffic etc. As soon as the innoculations are complete start attending the Training class, this will help you avoid some of the pit falls, and stop you letting the pup develop bad habits. ENJOY!!
