The time is here for our annual awards at work. I have two write a 200 word statement stating why I think I deserve to win an award for being the best trainee within the whole of the company.  the thing is they are not only just marking us on the strength and content of the award enty but also on the full presentaion. 

Has any one done this type of thing before or can offer any advice.

how can I make my entry stand out from everyone elses.  I really want to try and get some humor etc into it.  Tried google but havent found anything as yet

What is the prize and what is it worth ;) :D

What have you learnt about the Company?
What have you learnt about your job?
What have you learnt from/about your colleagues?

Why are you an asset to the Company?
What can you offer over the other trainees - this is where you could bring in some humour

ha ha I would love to do it naked but it has to be in a written format.  I really find it difficult to put into words how fantasic I am.. I can think of so many negatives but not the positives :-(  and Not sure how to preset it to make it stand out from the rest

Depends on what you are trying to present.  If you want to be professional powerpoint is the kiddie.  You can use powerpoint as cue cards, also add pictures, photographs.

You could really go into the whole, "People being the most important core competence of a company"  and build it up from there.  Most companies when doing these things love the humour but love the gargon that comes with it all.
