Hi ive just looked on an American web site and it states that you can not show altered dogs.  But im confused if it states that a dog must be unaltered to be shown what about docking and ear shaping, does this not come under being altered? And be classed as changing the breed?

Americans usually use the word 'altered' to describe animals which have been neutered - either spayed or castrated.

Don't you just love the differences between the English and American language :d
