Best thing is to contact your bitches breeder because any stud wont do it will need to complement your bitch and not have ancesters who had health probs. in common.
You will also need to have had your bitch tested for the problems found in your breed. Jackie H

One of our regular posters is a shar pei 'expert' and I'm sure she'll be able to offer some advice.
Dizzy, where are you ?????

She may be able to if she knows the bitches breeding, as the guest does not tell us the kennel name it may not be possible, unless of course it's one of hers. Jackie H

Ooops - what I meant was that Dizzy would be able to let the guest know what specific tests should be done for Shar Pei and how old a bitch should be before breeding etc.
That'll teach me to write replies when I'm in a hurry :D

Ade & Joanne, I'm sure Dizzy will catch up with this thread but I'm sure she would not mind if you e-mailed her. Use the search option and find a post by Dizzy and click on the name and up will come her mail address. Jackie H

ive written you pivatley at your email addie----ive an exellent url that you should be reading before you even think about breeding, theres so much to know about sharpei, -its not an easy breed to go into lightly, thats if you have intentions of GOING INTO IT PROPERLY, -they have many problems, they arent easy to rear and they are a breed that you need to be there for when the people buying the pups from you need to ask questions about theyre pup, if you dont know then how are you going to advise them, youre responsible for helping your puppy owners out for life!!
if your bitches breeder is behind you then they should be a big help if theyre happy for you to be breeding from the bitch----as far as id go, if id bred the bitch you have ,then youd have to know a lot more than you obviously do about the breed before id be wanting you breeding from any bitch of my breeding , however as ive breeding restrictions inplace then ill never be in that position, you are asking on here for a stud -a stud as in any stud, you dont know which lines would suit your bitch, whats behind who's lines etc, -id advise you to leave the breeding to those that have done their homework and learnt along the way, sorry if i seen harsh but ive heard so many heartbreaking stories, you also run the risk of losing your bitch,

well heres a suprise for you all-i mailed the person with offers of imformation on the breed-she replied shed got an empty mail---so i mailed again, told her id help her out with health issues etc, -sent a really good url, it tells you nearly all there is to know---guess what? ----------you're right, nothing!!!

Well at least you tried Dizzy - It beats me why we are always being asked for studs for in or near in season bitches and how can I use my dog at stud type questions from guests. One would think that a guest posting on here would have been reading for at least a short while and would know what the answer to their question will be. - But must be honist, thought this one was for real, sorry you have wasted your time, lets hope it does not mean that yet more badley breed puppies are about to be produced. Jackie H
my apoligies to the original poster if there is a problem with their e-mail and your concern to do things the right way were genuine. In this case please try again.

i maybe getting it wrong BUT!! i think she was hoping for a gaggle of stud dog owners to contact her. hopefully living in the same street

and you never know, perhaps several have, it takes all sorts,--certainly didnt seem to want to know much about the problems in the breed, unless shes still reading into them and hasnt had time to thank me yet :D
