Freyas first class was good. For a little one who is nervous round dogs she did well considering the staffie, large beagle cross, lab and collie barking their excited heads off. It migth have helped having another cav there. Her recall was poor to start with but she eventually got the hang of it. Roll on next week!!  :-)

Yes, Ellie was a bit shocked at her first ringcraft class with the huge GSDs being shouted at! She's fine at pet training cos the place is full of Cavaliers! My problem with Ellie's recall is getting her not to follow me long enough to be able to call her! Glad she did ok anyway. :-D

Well they are such delicate ikle things LOL. Freyas recall eventually kicked in..... I'm still waiting for Mollys to do the same 2 years on. Shes aweful. Everyone and everything is more interesting than me. Well can't blame her I am a teacher after all!!! :-)

My boys (1 Cav, 1 Yankee) at 3 1/2 years are still not 100% on the recall in the park - usually fine in training though. They used to be AWFUL - in fact, my OH still doesn't trust my Cav boy off lead! But my girl at 11 months is and has always been wonderful, she virtually always comes back. Don't know if it's just cos she's a bitch, but it's a lovely change! :-D

Her recall improved this week and she managed a sit stay for 10 secs (although it seemed like at least a min :-)  ). Have bought her a new toy for walks only. Might try a stuffed knog on the walks with the naughty wandering cav bless her!!

Problem with my girl is she doesn't like me walking away from her and not being able to follow. I've got her up to 1 minutes 30 seconds, and once we managed the full 2 minutes - it seemed like an hour!!

Mine have such a loooonnnnnggggg way to go :-)

They'll get there - it took 2 years for my boy to be mostly reliable on a recall in the park. Even now his idea of recall is go and say hi to the other dog, then come back!! Little monster!
