my 4 yr old westie bitch was spayed at 12noon today and is not walking yet and very sore and just wants to be on her own she was bleeding a hour ago but has stopped now how long will it take for her to get up and move around a bit, please help im worried.

I would expect her to be feeling a lot brighter tomorrow morning.  Some vets send their dogs home with pain relief, some say pain is natures way of keeping the dog quiet and allowing the wound to heal better.  Personally, I'd rather take responsibility for keeping the dog quiet by management (crate and on lead excercise only) and see them comfortable.  If she's still very subdued in the morning, I'd have a word with your vet about some pain relief for her.
