Hi all, I have a golden retriever bitch that is 17 days into her season.  She has bled all the way through although lighter at times than others.  This is her first season, although she is 18 months old.  I also have a male golden retriever but he went into kennels on the first day of her season so has not been near her.  We are due to pick him up on what will be her day 22 and am not sure that she'll be finished.  What I want to know is how do I definately know that she is finished her season??  Are there any signs??  Is it that she'll just stop bleeding??  I really miss our male dog but obviously don't want to put her into the position of ending up pregnant.  She is my first bitch as I have always had male dogs before so am not sure of how it works.  She will be getting spayed when the 2 months that the vet has told us has elapsed.  Please can anyone tell me.  Thank-you
