My little girl goes for a scan today at 1.30pm. It is 6 weeks since she was mated and although showing signs of being pregnant, I am still very nervous and keeping fingers crossed. Don't know how I'll get any work done today!!

Good luck for Friday. Willow hasn't been sick once, should I be worried. Now, you've got me even more nervous! (It'll be ours and her's first litter as well!!)

My bitches were never sick when they were pregnant. But then, neither was I!

I think it depends on the dog like jeangenie says, like us some women are sick when pregnant and some arent!

Hi Sarah
Are you using the Sheep Scanner?
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and Willow - Phoebe's due in around 10 days and is getting very lazy, she was eating like a horse for the past couple of weeks but her appetite seems to have disappeared over the last 2 days! Her stomach is also making some very weird noises :-)
Good Luck

Hi,
Decided to take her to our vets instead as they apparently have a new ultrasound which is supposed to be pretty accurate and charge @ £28 for a scan. (thanks for your info, though) Wonder if they'll give us a print out if she is. You've not got long to go with Phoebe, have you? Has she had a litter before?
sarah

Hi Sarah
The main reason I didn't take Phoebe to the vet for her scan was because they wanted to sedate her :-( the price is very good at your vet, I would have loved some pic's of Phoebe's scan but Sam (SS) didn't do pic's. Phoebe had one litter of 4 puppies 3 years ago; this will be her last litter, I forgot how stressful it was - I'm constantly worrying about her and making sure she's comfortable :-) eating :-) and drinking :-) oh and excersing although she's got a bit lazy - as I'm sure I would if I had 7 babies inside me :-|
Let me know how the scan goes.
Good Luck

Brilliant news, Daisys. Is there something in the air as a lot of bitches are going for scans? Only half an hour to go now - hopefully OH will let me know as he's taking her.
sarah
how many days pregnant does a dog have to be to go for a scan to see if she is pregnant

Congratulations Clair and of course Daisy - When are they due?

Good news. Willow is definitely pregnant. The vet could definitely see 3, maybe 4. How exciting and nerve wracking. Better start re-reading the book of the bitch!!
Are there any sheep scanners in the North West (manchester) I don't usually bother but I'd rather them than go to a vets. My girls 6 weeks today, is that too far gone to bother? I know she's pregnant there's no doubting that. I don't think she's got many but it would be nice to have a rough idea and to see that they are developing OK after her scare on the second week!

Keith Shea from Preston will travel to Manchester re scanning, 07973415088. He actually is a Pig Scanner and Pig A.I inseminator. He's highly rated around here, Vets even ask him to go out on their behalf re scannng for any abnormalities re internal tumours etc. Lovely chappie. Fee approx £30.00
That's brilliant, it's not that far from me, I'll give him a bell.
Thanks.
Diane

Hi Jodi
You can sometimes find out the breed by clicking on the posters name - which is how I find out what a lot of the breeders/owners have.
