Just had it delivered today via Amazon but haven't had chance to listen to it yet ? Will do tomorrow travelling to Southampton and back so will give you my review :) I am not 100% on Tripping so hope I like the rest of the album :)

Anybody else got it yet ? What do you think ?

Havent got it yet, think I might wait until my birthday next month as "times is 'ard" at the mo. so cant really afford luxuries (although I would class any robbie album as an essential ;) ) I quite like tripping and LOVE the video to it, not sure about some of his other new ones though they will probably grow on me though like some of his other stuff :) Enjoy your trip to good 'ole Saav'ampton :)
- By LJS Date 25.10.05 20:34 UTC
I mis read it and thought you said 'Sunny Saav'ampton' Far from it over the last week or so ! It Portsmouth last night it was torrential rain :) Where abouts are you then in good old Hampshire ?

Shame my Project is over winter and spring rather than spring and summer

I have driven back tonight with any CD's in the car listening to Zane Low (sp) I have never heard such total and utter drivel  I even resorted to listening to the Archers  :D

Just the two, and the cat (the snake sleeps in his own "pit")  They speak perfectly good english (well the basingstoke version, seeing as you are Oooxfoord you might have to common up your accent a bit :D )

I know the 339 well ClaireyS.  I used to be in Thatcham! :)
- By ClaireyS Date 25.10.05 21:44 UTC
Ahh, Thatch 'em scratch 'em :D

I used to manage a pet shop in Newbury so used the A339 every day,  personally I love the road, one of the few roads where you have to use proper skill :) there has been so many deaths on it lately though people over taking because they are so impatient and losing control taking the corners too fast :(

It's all changed a bit since I remember listening to it, while waiting to go to church on a Sunday morning, 40+ years ago :D

I never get the chance to listen to it but when I have done over the last few years it is gripping more so than normal TV soaps as you actually listen to what they are saying and make a mental picture of the situation which is more like a book which is so much more stimulating :D

OK:  posted history of Emma - daughter of Neil and Susan.   Susan has a bit of the "pushy mother" about her, and wanted Susan to reach the dizzy heights - go to college, get a "nice job" in an office, etc etc.   Susan comes from the "orrible Horrobin" family - feckless and with the real bad uns.   Emma had different ideas, went to college to learn catering, which didn't go down very well with Susan.

The Grundys are the "salt of the earth" dirt poor farmers, always wheeling & dealing.   Clarrie and Eddie have the two boys - William - the White Sheep of the family who shocked his father & grandfather by becoming a trainee gamekeeper when they had always been the "respectable poachers", and Edward, the "bad lad" of the family, always put down by his big brother.

Whilst William & Emma had been sweethearts for a long time, since William started work, Edward was Emma's school mate, sat together at school and confided in each other etc etc etc.

One night Emma wanted to go to a party which William didn't want to go to & she went with a couple of the girls (Kirsty and Brenda).  Kirsty & Brenda paired off with a couple of lads, Emma phoned her dad to pick her up & take her home when Ed turned up in William's car (which Ed had "borrowed" for the evening ;) ) .  He said he'd take her home but on the way home they had an accident, in which Emma was trapped, badly hurt.  Ed managed to get her out, burning his hands badly in the process.

Eventually Emma recovered, Ed was sent to Detention Centre for taking & driving a car with no licence.    William asked her to marry him, she accepted, and everything seemed to be going well.  But Ed still hankered after her and, on her hen night, very drunk, she turned up at the place where Ed was staying & slept with him .  Ed was heartbroken that she said it was all a mistake, and that she was still marrying Will, and managed to go to Hungary to work just before the wedding.    Six weeks later, Emma realised she was pregnant, she married Will, knowing full well that Ed could be the father of the baby she carried.

She let Will believe the baby was his, they seemed to settle into a life of blissful domesticity, until Ed reappeared from Hungary just before Emma popped.    After baby George was born, Emma realised the restricted life she had was not what she wanted, and when Ed said he was going to go to Australia, she told him EVERYTHING, how she realised she had made a mistake, George was his, she wanted to be with him, not Wills, yadda, yadda yaddda.

The story goes on ;)

(Ill bet you're sorry you asked :D
