My sister-in-law has a 3 year old Dobie bitch and has just emailed me this... "Took Molly to vets on Friday as she's been coming out in spots, on Friday there were dozens of them ... I knew she didn't have fleas but thought I should take her. Vet said it was probably an allergic reaction to something, anyway gave her an injection and some pills and a bath.  Saturday morning all spots had virtually gone.  Went out Saturday night, came home, went upstairs, her bed was wet through.  Put throw on our bed and let her sleep on that, woke up was like someone had thrown a bucket of water on the bed. Washed bedding, bought new quilt, everytime she got up from wherever she was laid there was a massive wet patch. Went to bed last night, had to get up at 2am this morning to change her bed as it was wet through again (she woke me up as if to say "me beds all wet" ... Bless.  So changed the bed, got up this morning, bed wet through again.  Was gonna take her back to vets today but been home at lunch time and it's all dry, so I have no idea what that was all about." Any ideas?

Quite possibly a urine infection - did it smell at all?  If she is going to take her to the vet then try and get a urine specimen to take with her - not in a jam jar unless it has been very throughly cleaned 'cos of the sugar

my dobe had what I would call bumpy skin so took him to the vet and he had an anti inflamatory jab. After having this jab for about 24- 36 hours he was peeing for britain. He wasn't drinking more than usual so wasn't sure if it was to do with the jab. He is only 18 weeks but has been reliably dry day and night since 9 weeks old. Then he was really worried because he whined to go out and before I could even get out the chair he started to pee on the floor. I am thinking it was to do with this jab as we had not had any of this before and he is fine again now. (still all bumpy though)
Maybe this is the same thing or could just be coincedence??

Sounds to me like both dogs got a steroid injection and this can be a side effect for sure of steroids.

It sounds very coincidental, doesn't it?  Poor dogs!  Thanks for letting me know.
