Hi,
We have an 18month Rottweiller bitch, she currently weighs 50kg, she has several problems, she has an arthritic hip and also has severe allergies which unfortunately restrict excercise. She has a fantastic nature and is brilliant with our children. Her diet has been Science hill since she was aboout 12 weeks old.
We have just changed to Bakers and we are looking for advice regarding how to keep her weight under control. Can you help? or advise who we can speak to?
We are also considering getting another puppy and are wondering whether due to Roxy's age, whether you think this would be suitable. As she is quite protective and gets jealous at times.
Many thanks
Joanne & Darren - Cheltenham
Personally i have found burns fantastic for weight control as it is designed to keep dogs lean, whilst providing good nutrition. Has the vet mentioned swimming at all? This may be a good exercise for her.
I wanited 18months before getting my 2nd pup and i found this to be a good age gap. However due to your dogs jealous nature i can't really say whether its a good idea of not.

If you do a search on Bakers using the facility in the top right hand corner, you will begin to see that feeding Bakers is a bit like raising a child on McDonalds every day!
Do some research on the feeding threads and see what you feel would be a better match to you requirements.
Yes i agree totally with Jackie and if she has allergies i certainly wouldn't be feeding her bakers. You could try burns, james well beloved or wafcol allerginic. These foods have no persavites or additives, Good luck. To search foods go to the right hand corner, click on search and put bakers in.
Warm regards Susan
