Hi,
Took blade to the vet this evening as he seems to have bumpy skin, only on his right shoulder/neck. She wasn't sure what it was so gave him anti-inflammatory jab and 5 days of antibiotics (synulox) she did mention mange though... I always thought that made all the hair fall out?? It isn't bothering him at all, but it just isn't right. Has anybody had this sort of thing before? He is a dobe of 18 weeks. I did speak to the breeder too and she wasn't sure what it was either.

my dobe girl had the same problem and it started at 16 weeks.the first time i went to the vet he did as yours has,just incase it was mange he gave her a jab.however ,the skin got worse she had pimples and hair lose over her shoulders ,the vet said it was folliculitis and gave her an antibiotic and i had to wash her twice a week with special shampoo.although the medication kept it under control it never completely went away.a blood test a year later showed her tyroid was under active and the pills she got for that did help her coat but again it never completely went away.
