Hi there just been to look at a litter of bullmastiffs and just wanted to know if this is possable both sire & dam are red but there is brindles in the litter have we been showen the right parents are can this colour come from another dog in the pedigree?

Mating two fawns/reds would result in a litter of all fawn/red puppies and no brindles.

Could it not be possible to have brindle puppies if both dogs had brindle in their background?

I have no idea about genetics, I'm just asking the question out of interest.

No 2 reds or 2 fawns or 1 red 1 fawn will not produce brindles.One parent must be a brindle to produce brindle puppies.Avoid these pups as one of the parents they are showing you is not correct. sounds like very dodgy breeders something isn't right, avoid.
