Had my girl scanned today, day 30 from last mating and nothing !  Vet said she thought she could feel something but when she scanned her said her bowel was full and that was what she could feel,  she had 3 good matings by a proven dog,  as had a litter before, has all the signs, enlarged teats, wider on the ribs, sleeping a lot, maybe she's having a phantom and we just got the wrong days!  Oh well will try again in 6 months

:( You must be gutted! Im having my girl scanned on 28th October, i have no idea whether shes expecting or not, it will mine and her first and only litter. Im really looking forward to finding out though, the suspense is killing me. Her teats are more pronounced and her vulva is still swollen after season, as for being sleepy, shes a lazy pooch anyway so i cant really answer on that one! :)

How disappointing for you.   My bitch is in her 5th week and showing signs but as we're not getting her scanned until next week we won't know for sure until then, so I could be another disappointed owner.

i know just how you feel, had my girl scanned at 54 days (ultra sound) no puppies,she has all the signs of whelping but her stomach hasn't dropped.  how accurate are scanners?? some people who have had there dog scanned say they gone on to have puppies, or is this just wishfull thinking on my behalf.  where you prescribed anything like galastop?

p.s. im still hoping for a miracle on day 59.

Sorry to hear you have no puppies showing up - I'll keep my fingers crossed in hope.  I had Phoebe scanned by the Sheep Scanner; she was v good, she's predicted 7 puppies - she's due on the 4th Nov from 1st mating; I'll update on here to confirm how many she's had when the little ones arrive :-) - although there are a few people on here who have used the sheep scanner and she's got it right everytime ;-)  I'm glad I've had her scanned.

Hi, I also know how disappointing it is i mated my sbt in march and she missed, she also showed all the signs of pregnancy and even had milk.  We have tried again on 24/26 September and i am keeping my fingers (and everything else) crossed that she has taken this time. She is not yet showing any signs but i am having her scanned next wednesday, will let you know how i get on.

Hi Lydia I know exactly how you feel my girl should have had her puppies at the end of Sept but a scan showed that she too was empty, although I felt inside that she had missed I just hoped I was wrong. I've never scanned a bitch before but this was also the first bitch I've had miss.Chin up and better luck next time , for all of us!

You might think thats disappointing, but what about what happened to me this summer. Kitty was mated to the top dog all breeds, was 5 weeks in whelp when she was off colour one morning, the vet took blood and scanned her for 3 dead puppies rotting inside her. She had an emergency spay to save her life, so no second chances for her.

Please take comfort in the fact that these bitches have their health and have another chance at giving you all a litter, at some point in the future. Kitty escaped with her life.

:( thats awful Dawn, you must have been so upset and devastated! Your poor girl must have gone through hell. She is very lucky to have survived and have you there to help her!

Well I share your pain Lydia. My girl also missed and should be seven weeks along now but didn't catch. I still watch her like a hawk and some days I could swear she is starting to show but then the next she looks back to normal. Just my eyes playing tricks on me and wishful thinking I guess. I will try again in six months too but was soooo looking forward to keeping a bitch puppy this year. Darn!

Well the last two mornings she has been sick, just a little frothy liquid.  Don't know what's going on.  Anyone experienced sickness with a Phantom?

MY BITCH IS STILL VOMITING, DIGGING, MILK AND ALL THE OTHER SIGNS, SCAN SAID NO PUPS, 63 DAYS TOMMORROW, I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL I AM STILL EXPECTING A MIRACLE BUT I THINK ITS JUST WISHFUL THINKING!!!

Hi good luck. All you can do is keep an eye on her,i hope she dosent go though labour and have no pups at the end,  i had this happen to me 4 years ago, very sad for my girl, and also for me. Hope alls ok regards debbie.
