I am trying to find some Third Party only Insurance for my dogs.  Dog breeders Insurance used to do this, but not any more it seems.  You used to be able to get it as paart of being a club member with some breed clubs and canine sosieties.  I know that I had this as part of my membership with the BSDA when I had my Groenenedael, way back in lat 80's early 90's.

Tried googling but all the searches come up with the full pet insurances :(  Anyone here work in Insurance and know where I and others can just get thrid party for our mobs?????

You may be covered on your household insurance.

My old goldie is no longer with a pet insurance company, it was getting ridiculous the price of the premiums, so I phoned up the insurance company of my house and contents insurance to see if he could be covered in case he caused an accident or injured someone etc. and they said he was already covered on that. May be worth checking with them.

Yes but this is often limited to things that happen on your own property, and I would feel more comfortable with specific Insurance for this.  Suppose they did damage in a hotel?

I did query that, but my broker said it was like having your handbag stolen whilst out shopping for example, you would still claim for this on your household insurance. I was concerned about him causing an accident, such as running into the road, but he assured me I would be covered. Check your policy.

Would that also cover running your dogs through Forestry Commison woodland whilst attached to a rig i wonder ( in a non competition way of course).
I have read that to do that just for enjoyment the FC would need to see proof of 3rd party insurance before they would give you permission.
Of course if you dont have pet insurance and they are not covered for that activity on the house insurance, then how would you get round that i wonder ...

I'm sure a good insurance broker could advise. After all you can insure practically anything these days!
