HI
I was told at the weekend that the yearling class has changed to dog between 12 and 24 months from dog under 24 months. Is this correct? what will I do about the shows I have already entered ?
thanx
Chris

I thought it always had been for dogs between 12 and 24 months. That's the definition in the schedules I have to hand anyway - what does it say in yours?

That's what it says in mine also, for dogs of 12 and not exceeding 24 calendar months.

I thought Yearling was 12 to 24 but Special Yearling was 6 to 24 months..although I thought they had got rid of it until I saw it in a schedule for a show next month. MM will know :D

Emily you are right :) Yearling and special yearling are two different classes :)

(same as junior and special junior, puppy and special puppy etc)

LOLOL each show can make up the definition of any "Special Class" So Yes Sp Yearling can be 6 to 24 months but Yearling has to be 12 to 24 & has been ever since the KC made it an actual class

Doh, I must learn to have more confidence. I posted the right answer to this this morning, then I doubted myself and deleted it.
