I have booked my girl in for a scan on the 28th October at 9am. I have arranged to go into work at 10am instead of 9am, was just wondering if this would give me enough time as if not i will take the day off! Also, do you think i need to trim the hair around her tummy as she is a Westie and her hair is like a lions at the mo because if she is pregnant i dont want to get her groomed as she hates it and will stress her out. Thanks in advance x

Hi
Usually a scan only takes a few minutes -I know with our vet the price we pay is for up to 15 mins max. Not sure what you mean about the fur (for the scan or for feeding pups?) but the vet will clip the fur on the stomach before scanning.

Hi minniedog, The vet will shave the area that he needs to scan. The scan its self took about 20 minutes when I had my girl done. An hour should be fine if you are in on time.

make sure you have some sudacrem on hand at home just incase she gets a rash with the shaving. forgot to say the time of the scan will also depend on if she needs sadating (sp)soz.
