With mine it depends on the recipe. The original tends to do through mine, but the Lamb & rice and Chicken & rice are fine.

How much are you feeding? And what breed/age is your dog?
Loose stools can be caused by overfeeding. Reduce the food intake by half and see if that helps.

One of my dogs always gets soft stools with lamb, so I avoid the Lamb & Rice variety.
If you changed to Naturediet gradually and you are selecting the right variety for you dog, you should have no problem.

Yes - and I tried about three times, always replacing it gradually over about 10 days - and gave up in the end as my puppy always had loose stools after being on it for a few days. I never used it on its own, but mixed half and half with Burns. Before trying to change over I was giving her Burns mixed with Nature's Menu, a frozen food that has to be defrosted in the microwave before every meal. I didn't want to carry on using this because we were due to go on holiday to a self-catering cottage with no freezer and no microwave. I thought the Naturediet packs would be an ideal replacement but unfortunately not in her case. It was the Puppy version I was using, so no choice between chicken or lamb etc. In the end I tried her on Chappie instead (still mixed with Burns) and she was fine - so that's what she ended up with and still has now.

It does sound like your over feeding, I'm sure as Burns being a complete food, it shouldn't be mixed with a wet food as it has all the nutrients your dog needs in that, so you will be upsetting the balance of the nutrients by adding another food. I could be wrong. I'm sure you can buy mixer biscuit food that isn't complete. That may help or just feed the Burns on it's own. These complete foods have a very good proportion of meat in them anyway.

There are quite a few of us that feed burns with Naturediet added. both are complete foods, if you feed in the correct quantitys of each you can keep the balance. :)

April,
Why do you bother mixing anything with Burns? Won't your dog eat Burns by itself?
BTW, I believe Natures Menu does a complete meal in a pack that does not require refrigeration. I'm not sure if it is the same as the frozen varieties, but I'm sure they could tell you.
If you want to experiment with Natures Menu again at some later point in time I don't think you need to stick to the puppy variety.
