I went in the garden this morning after I'd let Poppy (7 month old CKCS) out to the toilet, to scoop the poop! The poo she'd just done looked a bit odd. Part of it was as normal, then the last part was very pale in colour, almost cream and looked quite jelly like, it also looked like, for the want of a better description, as though it had like a sausage skin round it. I feed her JWB in the morning and Nature's Menu with JWB in the evening. She's quite fussy and prefers crunchy in the morning and moist as her main meal.
OH is taking her to the vets later this week to have her nails and dew claws trimmed, so will mention it to the vet then. OH has noticed this once before, several weeks ago, but as she wasn't off colour and was running around and eating and drinking as normal, we carried on as normal. Her poo this evening is as normal, and she's been eating and drinking OK today, she's also been as active as normal.
Has anyone any thoughts on what this might be?

I've had the mucousy sausage skin effect with Nature's Menu too, well the dog did :D Could it be one variety that causes it? I was using it as a cross over to raw and now use Nature Diet if I'm staying away from home with no problems.

I used to get the pale stuff with slimy skin when my boy was still eating Pedigree, but he's been much better since switching to JWB (fingers crossed!) :-) The Natures Menu stuff gave him bad colitis!
Two different meals because as I said "She's quite fussy and prefers crunchy in the morning and moist as her main meal".
She's been having the chicken (green sachet) for a couple of weeks now, haven't tried her on any other flavours of NM. Will be changing her over to ND soon, but have about 4 sachets of NM left so was going to finish those up. I tried her on ND puppy a while ago and she didn't like it, but she had a little bit of chicken and tripe one (orange packet) and enjoyed it, so will change to that.
If it was the NM, would it not happen every day? It's only happened twice in about 6 weeks.
