Topic Dog Boards / Health / Sickness..

I was saying on here last week that my 7 month old dog had the runs, badly.  I am sure that it was the raw chicken that I was advised to give him, but we took him to the vets, where he was given a course of antibiotics, and a jab to reduce his temp.  Today he passed a "firm" stool, which is good, but not so good, he has been sick twice today :(

His antibiotics are finished, and for the past week we have given him what the vet advised, which was rice and cooked chicken..

Any thoughts?

Hi Cain, i thought you were giving him cooked chicken and not raw, most dogs at that age do pick up alot of bugs and eat some disgusting things.

warm regards Susan

Yes, what I am saying is that LAST week I THINK it might have been his first ever taste of raw chicken that set off the skitters, and in the 6 days since, he has been on rice and COOKED chicken, at the vets advice, and that today he brought it back up twice..
