Now we have a new James Bond, I just wondered who everyone would have prefered off their list? I've been racking my brains and the only one I can come up with is Sean Bean tho maybe he's abit too rough round the edges!? What does everyone else think?

I think Orlando Bloom mmmmmmmmmmmmmm :) would be really good in about twenty years time :D he's far too young yet to convince ;) but if he'd like to come over and try to convince me.... :D :D :D
Didn't really notice who else was up for it, but the one they picked was awful :( :( I can't believe they think he can hold a candle to Pierce Brosnan or Shaun Connery

he reminded me of Gerard Depardieu
So who did get the job then? :)

Doesn't look very James Bondish, does he? As you say - I think he looks more like the villan!
Actually, think Alan Dale might do it, with hair smoothed back, he could possibly look right - or what about Niel Morrisy???

Anyone remember the English guy in Sunset Beach? I think he looked very James Bond, don't know if his acting is up to it, but then, Roger Moore was hardly the greatest actor, but still a wonderful Bond! Daniel Craig certainly not my idea of the character.

he's the main character in the film Layer Cake, when my husband saw it, he immediately said 'he would make a good James Bond' we wil just have to wait and see what he is like when the film comes out, I'm not really a Bond fan, but i'll give it a go

Do you mean Alan Dale from Neighbours???? He is a 50 something baldy australian who is now big on the states, accent n'all.
what hair to slick back????
The 2 actors that were touted all the year, incl. by Pierce Brosnan, were Clive Owen and the Ozzie whatsisname from X-Men and Van Helsing.
Clive Owen is English, dark haired, and does actually have that "classic Bond look"

true, that's alan Davies, the comedian.
Clive Owen wasnt on spooks - he is a Brit flick actor big in hollywood now...he was in Sin City, amongst others.
I think you mean Matthew McFayden from Spooks, altho im not sure on that.
In any case, he is currently starring in the new version of Pride and Prejudice.
