We went to the hospital, she saw the GP there at 2pm and he referred her to the critical admissions unit where she had to wait and see the orthopedic registra as he thought she might have DVT, the registra was very inconsiderate and was doing a hip operation at the time so we had to wait 2 hours to see him ;)
Took kids to dad and went back armed with sandwich and coke for both of us. Meanwhile mum had all the paper work done just in case she had to be admitted which was looking likely.
On comes a junior doctor who said the likly hood of DVT was very slim and she still wanted the registra to look at it. 5pm in comes regiatra, still in operationg scrubs bless him, has a look and said it is just general swelling due to the fracture and just keep an eye on it but everything is fine and we can go home.
3/4 hour later we actually leave the hospital after finding a nurse as the dostor hadnt given her the forms to say mum had been discharged!!!!! Back home to a chinese takeaway lol
Eventually got home at 7.30. Was 4 1/2 hours after i thought I would LOL
Thankyou for all the advice and support. Am so glad it was all for nothing :)
Lea :)
(Just remind Alex of that if he ever moans about you feeling ill ;) ;) LOL)
