Hi, i have a very noisy problem with my dog.

He just doesnt stop barking and sooner or later im going to get complaints, so im trying to get rid of the problem as soon as possible.

He barks at everything, people walking past, out the window, whenever hes in his room and whenever hes out in the yard he barks. I always make sure hes fed at the right times and have fresh water.

The sound just goes through my head! :(

Anyones advice would be brillant.

You say in 'his' room and out in the yard. Is he spending an excessive amount of time on his own. Does he bark when you are there with him?

He spends around 3 hours by himself whenever im out at work but i have another doberman bitch to keep him company.

And yes he does bark whenever im out with him.

My other doberman bitch is just an angel, dont hear a sound out of her :)

Firstly, my sympathies.  Secondly, has he been castrated?  If not, you can put a lot down to hormones. Castration helps prevent a lot of cancers in both dogs and bitches, so worth considering, just cut down on food a bit and/or up exercise.  As for the barking... he is probably defending you against everything!  That or a noisy joie de vivre.  Does the dog get a lot of exercise?  Is he hyper?  What are you feeding?  Read the food labels and get away from sugars, unspecified cereals, wheat, colourants, additives, anything that says "permitted antioxidants" etc.  James Wellbeloved is a very good health food for dogs which, being just natural foods, helps to get rid of hyperactivity.  Please do NOT get a collar that delivers an electric shock when the dog barks - Parliament are looking at getting these outlawed for any form of training.  Noise distraction might help - nothing as piercing as a rape alarm, but if the barking starts for no good reason i.e. walkies or someone at the door, blow a whistle, or get one of those party things where you blow and the paper comes out (you can take the paper off and just blow - it's  a strange noise that should get his attention).  If you successfully ask for the barking to stop, then reward and praise.  If it starts again, say "NO!" very forcefully but don't shout at the dog as you will succeed in winding him up.  Or put on his lead and collar and shut in out of the room he is barking in.  The bathroom is a good one!  Best of luck!

Hi,

He gets around 2 hours of excerise a day, on the weekend i have him out three times a day, morning, the afternoon and night.

I feed him Beta Adult, but i've been thinking of changing him to another dog food.

Believe me i've said"quiet!" and "no" but he just looks in and barks at me! not agressivey but in a way like " dont tell me what to do"

I wont get him that collar that sends electric shocks, firsty he'll bark  worst with it on, secondly he'll throw a fit or something and attack my other dog, something like that.

Thanks
